📢 RECALL UPDATE FOR COMSTOCK TOWNSHIP RESIDENTS

We have received confirmation from the Kalamazoo County Elections Division that the recall petitions have passed the preliminary face-check review and have moved on to the next stage of the process.

Many people have asked what a “preliminary face check” means.

During this review, election officials examine the petition sheets to make sure they appear to be in the proper format and that they contain enough signatures to continue through the review process. They also check for issues such as incomplete petition sheets, missing circulator information, or other obvious deficiencies. This is not the final determination of whether signatures are valid. The next step is voter registration and signature verification, where election officials review the signatures in greater detail. The Michigan Bureau of Elections manual describes this preliminary inspection as the initial review conducted before voter registration verification begins.

This means the petitions cleared the first hurdle and have advanced to the next phase of review.

We appreciate everyone who signed, volunteered, and supported this effort. We will continue to provide updates as official information becomes available.

Thank you for standing with us as we work toward greater accountability and transparency in Comstock Township.

🚨 THANK YOU, COMSTOCK 🚨

As we head into the holiday weekend, I just want to say thank you.

Today we officially submitted recall petitions for four Comstock officials:

• Terry McIver — 2,161 signatures
• Kristie Cherry — 2,140 signatures
• Nicole Beauchamp — 2,155 signatures
• Bob Pratt — 2,149 signatures

This effort happened because people in Comstock showed up. Neighbors talked to neighbors. Volunteers gave their time. Residents stood in parking lots, knocked on doors, spread the word, and signed because they believed their voices matter.

No matter what happens next, this community made itself heard.

So before the weekend begins, thank you to every volunteer, every supporter, and every resident who played a role in this effort.

Have a safe and great holiday weekend, Comstock — and thank you for proving that community involvement is alive and well.

🚨 RECALL UPDATE — IMPORTANT 🚨

If you currently have petition signatures, I need ALL completed petition sheets (even if not completed) turned in to me by TOMORROW, May 20.

We are now entering the preparation phase for submission, which means we need time to organize, review, and make sure everything is ready before filing.

If you still have completed sheets or signatures waiting to be turned in, please contact me immediately so we can coordinate pickup or drop-off.

This part is critical. Every signature matters, and getting everything collected on time helps ensure we are prepared for the next step.

Our Township wastes a lot of money, and while this is not the specific reason for these recalls, it adds to why these four officials need to be removed.

Hundreds of residents showed up on March 24th and told these four board members to leave this business alone. The community made its position clear. Despite overwhelming public opposition, they still spent taxpayer time, money, and effort pursuing a fight residents did not support, while continuing political battles against a Supervisor the community elected.

The letter attached speaks for itself.

Ironically, this also happened to be the day we re-launched our recall effort. For many people, it reinforced a growing pattern: ignoring residents, wasting public resources, and putting political agendas ahead of the people they were elected to serve.

The recall language itself focuses on their May 19, 2025 vote to end the moratorium on large-scale renewable energy projects. This situation is separate, but to many residents it reflects the same concerns: decisions being made despite significant community opposition and a continuing pattern that people believe deserves accountability.

COMSTOCK — WE ARE EVERYWHERE TODAY! 🔥

Our team is out across neighborhoods all over Comstock going door-to-door this afternoon, and we’ve covered just about every area. The support we’re seeing has been incredible.

If you haven’t signed yet and still want to be part of this movement, NOW is the time. Reach out and we’ll get someone sent directly to you. No need to wait — we’ll come to you.

We have just 8 DAYS LEFT to build our cushion and lock this in. We’ve come too far to slow down now. We made it this far, Comstock — now we need one final push to solidify these recalls and get them on the ballot this November.

Every signature matters. Every door matters. Every person stepping up matters.

Let’s finish this the same way we started it: together.

Message us if you still need to sign.

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH — FOUR RECALLS FOR A BETTER COMSTOCK 💪🔥

We had a goal, and Comstock crushed it.

We’ve collected more signatures than required overall, though I know some may ultimately be disqualified due to things like outdated voter registrations, address mismatches, duplicate signatures, or incomplete information. I’ve done my best to carefully review signatures for accuracy, but official validation will ultimately be up to the county.

With only 9 days left in the 60-day window, we are on the home stretch and it’s looking very promising — but this is exactly when we need to push the hardest. The stronger our buffer, the stronger our message to Comstock Township.

If you’ve already signed, thank you. If you haven’t signed yet, now is the time. If you want to help collect signatures, host a signing location, or help connect us with registered voters in Comstock, please reach out. Every valid signature matters, and every person helping right now can make a real difference in getting this recall to the ballot.

⏳ 10 DAYS LEFT ⏳

We are officially in the final 10 days of the recall effort in Comstock Township — and we are SO close.

We’ve had hundreds of conversations, knocked doors across the township, and seen this community come together in a huge way. But we still need a strong final push to make sure we have enough valid signatures with a safe buffer.

If you haven’t signed yet, now is the time.
If you already signed, help us spread the word.
If you want us to come to you, message the page with your address and availability.

10 days left. Let’s finish strong. 💪

Enough is Enough.

This post highlights the difference between our recall campaign and the other recall committee.

The individual being targeted in this post is the same person who filed campaign finance complaints against Four Recalls For A Better Comstock. When complaints were filed involving our committee, we addressed the issues and moved forward.

We did not publicly shame anyone. We did not post someone’s photo online. We did not call them names or encourage residents to “mock” and “ridicule” them in public.

Unfortunately, the other recall committee chose to respond differently.

Disagreeing politically is one thing. Encouraging residents to publicly mock someone when they see them at work crosses a line. That is not how people should be treated in this community.

People have the right to participate in local government processes — including filing complaints, speaking out, disagreeing politically, or supporting causes others may not like — without being personally targeted or harassed online.

Four Recalls For A Better Comstock remains focused on transparency and accountability in Comstock Township government. We believe leadership matters, and conduct matters too.

Residents can decide for themselves which approach better represents the kind of community Comstock should be.
