I’m going to be transitioning some of my You Tube video information into the Manual as well as adding the existing glossary once I can find a format that works. Breast Cancer Glossary

Er - Estrogen
Pr - Progesterone
DeNovo - Diagnosed Stage 4 from the beginning
Early Stage - Cancer patients diagnosed with Stage I, II or III.
Mets - Cancer spots or active cancer area
ANC - Part of CBC Blood Draw that will be one of the main numbers Oncologists look at. “Baby White cells” that help predict how your body is recovering.
Tumor Markers - Blood test used by SOME Oncologists. Can predict growth in patients.
Onc - Oncologist
Rads - Radiation
Triple Negative - Breast Cancer that does NOT have a hormone component, meaning hormones did not cause cancer, but source much more unknown.
NED - No Evidence of Disease
NEAD - No Evidence of Active Disease (same as NED, just an extra word)
Remission - Technically impossible for Stage 4, but depends on term Medical Staff uses. Normally, remission is saved for Early Stage patients and most Stage 4 refer to remission as NED as it is always in our bodies. Some can be NED for months or years.
