At approximately 7:11 p.m. yesterday evening, officers were dispatched to a residence in the 2900 block of Chatsworth Way on a well-being check. Relatives requested officers check on the well-being of 33-year-old Shalimar Green and 11-year-old Aliv'eyah Chandler.

Prior to officers arriving, a relative entered the residence and located both victims deceased inside. Columbus officers and Truro Township Fire medics responded to the scene, where both victims were pronounced deceased.

The preliminary investigation determined that Mrs. Green had been involved in an ongoing domestic dispute with her husband, Derrick Green. Evidence developed during the investigation identified Mr. Green as the suspect in both deaths. Investigators determined that Mr. Green fled the residence before officers arrived.

Late last night, SWAT officers located Mr. Green and took him into custody without incident.
