Anthony Caldwell Former President of the South-Western City School District. Former Trustee, Ohio School Boards Association.

I am proud to serve on the South-Western City School District Board of Education because I believe every student in our community has the right to quality, public education without exception. As an active parent and community leader, I believe that together we can build a better future for our families and our community by ensuring all students are respected, valued, and given the tools and resources they need to thrive. My passion for a quality, public education that prepares our students for the careers of today and tomorrow is unmatched.

Help your neighbors in need.

For more than 70 years, union members across Central Ohio have come together to make the holidays brighter for our neighbors in need. 🎄❤️

The Christmas Cares, Union's Share Food Drive helps provide food for more than 3,500 families each holiday season, and we need your help to continue this tradition.

We are collecting non-perishable food items, including: 🥫 Canned soups, vegetables, and fruit
🐟 Canned tuna and chicken
🥣 Oatmeal
🥔 Potato mixes
🍇 Jelly

Can't donate food? You can still make a difference by giving to our virtual food drive through the QR code below.

Together, union members are proving that solidarity extends beyond the workplace and into our communities. Thank you for helping us spread hope this holiday season!

We don’t agree on much, but we agree that Issue 6 is good for our community.

South Western City Schools (SWCS) will have a No-New-Millage bond issue on the November 2026 ballot that will NOT increase taxes, but will unlock nearly $113 Million from the State of Ohio.

10/09/2026

On November 3, SWCS will have its first No-New-Millage Bond Issue on the ballot since 2018 focused on high school construction projects - all without raising the tax rate for residents (the same rate since 2009).

Issue 6 Fast Facts: Among items addressed in our public FAQ, is consideration of Renovation vs. Replacement 🏫

⚫ Third party, the Ohio Facilities Construction Comission has an evaluative threshold for when any Ohio schools are in need of a full building replacement: This is when that mark eclipses 66% of the cost of a new construction.
⚫ The OFCC has assessed Grove City High School at 82%
⚫ The OFCC has assessed Westland High School at 83%
⚫ Additionally, each building is comprised of dated HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and sewer systems that drive up ongoing maintenance costs with many components no longer servicable by the manufacture.
⚫ November 3rd's Issue 6 unlocks ~$113M in OFCC state matching funds that go to South Western City Schools to assist with these projects.

New and improved schools strengthen our SWCS communities, attract new residents and businesses, and protect our home values and quality of life - which is why we need you to vote FOR Issue 6 to Build Our Future.

It WON'T raise taxes!

New schools.
No new taxes.

On November 3, SWCS will have its first No-New-Millage Bond Issue on the ballot since 2018 focused on high school construction projects - all without raising the tax rate for residents (the same rate since 2009).

Should the No-New-Millage initiative be approved it would allow the district to implement Segment 3 of its long-range facilities plan and bring in approximately $113 million in matching state funds to our district that would result in:

🏫 The construction of a new Grove City High School
🏫 The construction of a new Westland High School
⚙️ Address Career-Technical Education waitlists at the South Western Career Academy
🌱 Invest in targeted facility and athletics enhancements to Central Crossing High School and Franklin Heights High School

To assist community members, parents, and staff with inquiries, we have developed a comprehensive FAQ accessible on our website.
