A big thank you to board members Brad Pettit, Aparna Dial, and Matt Courser, and Tremont Task Force member Anne Ralph, for taking time out of their busy schedules to join Director Beth Pfahler and Assistant Director Greg Ramage at this year’s Library Journal Design Institute at Columbus Metropolitan Library!

With plans underway to renovate our largest building, the timing couldn’t have been better. They attended some fantastic sessions on community engagement, innovative library design, and creating flexible, welcoming spaces that reflect the needs and aspirations of the communities we serve. We are grateful to have such engaged partners investing their time and energy in imagining the future of our libraries! 💚📚

Kate has given so much of herself to our library, our staff, and our community. Her leadership, kindness, and dedication have made a lasting impact, and she will be deeply missed.

It's a do-it-yourself space with equipment and instructions for converting VHS tapes, audio cassettes, vinyl records, film slides, photographs, and documents into digital formats. Our Miller Park Branch will be closed from Saturday, October 31 through Sunday, November 29.

The building will undergo an interior refresh that includes a flexible layout with new shelving and furniture. The back of the building will be more open to accommodate youth programming, while the front will be made comfortable and functional for adults. We’ll also give greater prominence to our popular materials and Quick Pick collection.

During the closure, Miller Park staff will work at our Lane Road and Tremont Road Branches. Programs will also be relocated to the other branches. Check our online calendar for the most up-to-date information on program location.
