Women's Board of Nationwide Children's Hospital The Women's Board of Nationwide Children's Hospital was part of the original vision of the hospital when it was founded in 1892.

For more than 119 years, the Women's Board has been serving the hospital and raising funds to support the hospital's mission of providing outstanding health care to all children, no matter what their family's financial situation.

Women’s Board representatives Jacki Kim and Carolyn Gasiorek participated in the Huntington Bank’s PELOTONIA KIDS RUN on May 16th. They supported the NATIONWIDE CHILDREN’S activation station, guiding the participants through engaging activities.

Pelotonia Kids gets children involved in the FIGHT AGAINST PEDIATRIC CANCER through fundraising and cycling. Every dollar raised goes to innovative CANCER RESEARCH at Nationwide Children's Hospital.

The youth cycling events are community led and are scheduled throughout the summer. Nationwide Children’s Hospital is hosting their own Pelotonia Kids ride on September 12, 2026. Click on the link to learn more about the ride and how to register.

In 1986, the miracle balloon was born! 🎈 After being repeatedly told "no" by other business owners, Eleanor Lancey, a hospital employee, convinced O’Rourke’s Diner in Middletown, CT, tosell paper balloons bearing a hospital’s name in exchange for donations for Connecticut Children's. Nearly forty years later, in 2025, Miracle Balloon Campaigns accounted for over $86 million in donations! 💛💙
