Day 1 of our 4 day show is in the books. Most of our 100 plus exhibitors arrived today but more will arrive tomorrow. If you are a fan of fountain pens please join us this qweekend. We are located at the Crowne Plaza 6500 Double Tree, Columbus. We offer a free copy of pen world magazine with paid admission and a chance to win a $700 + value fountain pen. Of special note the central Ohio pen club will offer a Pens For Kids free seminar on Saturday, 11/1 at 12 noon. Kids will learn about pens and have a chance to write with one. With assistance from Linda Kennedy, resident nib technician at Indy-Pen-Dance; and Brian Gray, founder and president of the Edison Pen Company, I will offer my hands-on workshop on nib smoothing, working directly with participants, at the Ohio Pen Show.

Stationery Universe is a woman-owned small business, headquartered on the shores of Lake Erie in Northeast Ohio. Launched in March 2023, we have a mission to bring out-of-this-world stationery, pens, papers, and accessories to our community, while highlighting the amazing makers who create them. Stationery Universe brings a constellation of writing accoutrements to various pen shows and stationery events around the country, as well as offering them here in this online shop.

It all started with a simple idea. I like sending notecards to friends and family, and many cards – even the expensive ones – are made from paper stock that is dreadful for fountain pens. You know the kind. Feathering for days. So I thought, what about fountain pen-friendly notecards? I gathered a cadre of pen friends, tested a whole mess of papers, and found one whose performance I loved. I reached out to artists whom I admire to see about partnering to create a line of stationery. And thus it began!

Here you’ll find a curated selection of notecards, notebooks, pens, inks, stamps, and much more. I focus primarily on partnering with other independent makers, and I thrive on collaborating with creative people.

ATTENTION EXHIBITORS, the hotel has told me today that they can not provide overnight table covers. As in the past we will lock the ballroom, salons B C E and F over night. A guard will be stationed at registration over night to keep on eye on foyers 1 and 2. Hence you should consider bringing your own covers. Sorry, Terry

Adam of Happy Hour Pens And Gifts is excited to return to the Ohio Pen Show this year! While the show itself is from October 30th to November 2nd, enjoy his wide range of products and even come by his tables just to say hi!

About Us

Divine Pens Plus (Divine Island Design, LLC) is a local business in Palm Bay, FL. Founded in 2017 in the Florida Keys.  We specialize in custom, handmade projects from woods and resin.  My name is Braxton and I am the owner.  My wife is Erica and she designs ocean themed jewelry, ornaments, magnets and much more. Our son, Ryne, casts and turns pens, rings and more. He also creates our own custom resin mixes for pens, handles and rings.

We used Braxton’s hobby of woodworking and Erica’s hobby of socializing as the building blocks for the Divine Island Design.  With almost 20 years of woodworking experience, we use our talents and share them with the rest of the Florida Keys.  Braxton’s beautiful projects and Erica’s skill for networking has allowed us to start our dream business.

Two years later, we expanded the business to include Divine Pigments, jewelry, ornaments, and our first full time employee, our son! In February 2022, we moved to Palm Bay, FL and rebranded everything to Divine Pens Plus with Divine Island Design being our parent company. Our blank and supply website, Divine Turning Supply, is also under our parent company. We sell throughout the US and even internationally. They are the order packers, order pullers, the phone staff, the night shift janitors and yes even the owners of IPD. With a passion for fountain pens they began the way that many do and started to turn pens. Fortunately they had a chance introduction to Stan Pfieffer at the Chicago pen show in 2008. Stan shared his beautiful collection of vintage pens and the vintage bug bit with all the force it could muster. The following year at the DC Pen show, a chance encounter with Richard Binder brought more experience and desire imaginable. A friendship quickly formed and Richard began to share his expertise and continues to do so. Now many years later, you will find them side by side at the work bench, each eagerly bringing a vintage pen of some sort back to life.
