Data Centers.
Death Stars or The Force of the Future?
The battle rages on social media which flows from smart phones, tablets, laptops, desktops to one common place. That's a data center cloud. So when even the most virulent opposition in a fit of doom arms an anti-data center post on their Galaxy AI and hits send-in reality it goes to a cloud not so far-far away.
This week the Ohio General Assembly's Joint Data Center Committee held the first of several hearings to hear from government regulators to the industry. The hearing ran for more than three hours, and we've boiled it down to 7 minutes covering clouds to water quality. Responsible development protects your family's data, protects the country, and protects the environment.

Ohio is open for business, and the Ohio Senate is making sure it stays that way.

Sen. Brian Chavez co-chaired today's Select Committee on Data Centers at the Ohio Statehouse, joined by Sens. Bill Reineke and Shane Wilkin.

The committee heard directly from PJM, the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio, the Ohio EPA, the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, the Ohio Consumers' Counsel, and the Ohio Department of Development.

Topics covered included energy costs and grid reliability, water use, environmental permitting, and making sure data centers pay their fair share so Ohio families don't foot the bill.

Data centers aren't just an economic opportunity for Ohio. They're a matter of national security. The Ohio Senate is committed to getting the policy right for every Ohioan.

Chief Steven DiSario was killed in the line of duty, leaving behind six children, with a seventh on the way.

His father hung the thin blue line flag on his house. An HOA took them to court over it. Senate Bill 202 just passed the Ohio Senate to make sure that never happens again.

Sen. Tim Shaffer tells the full story in this week's President's Podcast.

Fighting fraud on Ohio's EBT SNAP cards. Senator State Senator Tim Schaffer fought for upgrades to Ohio's Supplemental Nutrition Program for years to make sure the benefits are available for the people who need them the most. The Senate unanimously passed his bill, SB 315, that did just that. Watch him deliver some straight talk about fraud this week on The President's Podcast.
