TODAY IS GIVING TUESDAY!

For many Veterans, the transition to civilian life is complex and presents a particular set of challenges they aren't prepared for upon separating from the military. In 2021, LifeWorks USA Inc was founded as a nonprofit organization that comes alongside Veterans in their transition to civilian life, no matter how long it's been since separating from the military.

One of our main avenues of Veteran care is our Plan For Life classes, which are 10 weeks long. We help identify and close as many gaps as necessary in their reentry to civilian life, which leads them to healthier relationships and life, an integrated community of other Veterans, and ultimately creating their Plan For Life.

Everything we offer to Veterans is a ZERO cost to them.

Chris Yeazel—thank you so much for coming to share firsthand as a Veteran about how to overcome obstacles when transitioning to civilian life. Your vulnerability and transparency really touched every heart today.

National Purple Heart Day

Today (7 Aug) is National Purple Heart Day, which is a day we recognize those who were wounded in the line of duty or killed in action while serving in the US Armed Forces.

These brave and heroic men and women served and sacrificed for our freedom and we must never forget that our freedom comes as a result of what others have sacrificed for us.

There will never be enough words to express our gratitude.

Blue Star Families is the nation's largest nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting military and eteran families in the communities where they live.

Approximately 600,000 active-duty and transitioning military families move each year, most moving into local neighborhoods and not onto military bases. When families feel a sense of belonging, everything else improves--financial security, mental health and wellness, resilience, and even military retention.

To help build community awareness, Blue Star Families holds a Blue Star Welcome Week every year. Together, we can make a difference for the men and women who serve, Veterans, and their families, simply by participating in Blue Star Welcome Week.

This year, Blue Star Welcome Week is from 24 September through 2 October. Click on the link below for more information on how you can participate in your local communities.

LifeWorks USA is excited to participate in Blue Star Welcome Week this year. We will have a booth at Vet Fest on 24 September from 11a-4p at Start Skydiving in Middletown, OH. Included in the day will be family activities, a cook-out, opportunities to connect with Veterans, and opportunities to learn about organizations to support our military families in the southwest Ohio region.
