It’s hard to be in two places at once but not impossible thanks to technology. I was asked to speak at a legislative briefing with the Seneca County Collaborative at the Marion Center at Tiffin University. However, obligations in Columbus prevented me from attending. Today’s legislative panel, moderated by Groundwork Ohio Policy Associate Malissa Harris and Family Action Committee member Garret Thompson, brought together policymakers for important conversations about policies impacting Ohio’s youngest children.

Recently, the Ohio Chapter participated in a successful Advocacy Day and provided testimony in support of Ohio HB 82, the Trenton Gallaway Work Zone Safety Act.

This bill strengthens Ohio's work zone safety laws, increasing penalties for violations in construction zones, enhancing driver education, improving signage requirements and allowing flexible speed limits - all with the primary goal of reducing injuries and fatalities for roadway workers and motorists.

This weekend I posted about a visit to the Ohio State School for the Blind and a visit to Richenbacher Airbase. One unexpected connection was that Director Maynus had a daughter ht the base. It was a pleasure to meet them both. . 😊

I was blessed to visit Ohio School for the Deaf and Ohio State School for the Blind this week. Director Maynus and staff do a fantastic job and the young people are amazing!!

It was a pleasure to visit the Air National Guard base at Rickenbacker along with a few of my colleagues yesterday. I’m grateful for all serve. 🙏🇺🇸
