This week’s “Crime of the Week” focuses on a Homicide that took place in Columbus in 2014.

On Thursday, May 8, 2014, Columbus police responded to 223 Mayfair Blvd., on the report of a homicide. Upon arrival, police were met by witnesses who stated that at 10:44pm, Keith Marsh went outside to smoke a cigarette, and while outside he was approached and shot by person(s) unidentified/ unknown. Mr. Marsh was able to make it back inside the apartment where he collapsed on the kitchen floor. Unfortunately, he was pronounced dead at the scene by CFD Medical personnel. Detectives are still seeking viable tip information on this case.

This week’s “Crime of the Week” focuses on a Homicide from Columbus.

On Sunday, May 1, 2005, 29-year-old Tyrun Malik Hill died when he was caught in a shootout between the Short North Posse and the rival D Block gang in a South Linden neighborhood. It has been 21 years and still no one has been charged in his murder. The family wants closure and would like for people to come forward with information regarding this case.

On March 28, 2017, Columbus Police were dispatched on the report of human remains found by sanitation workers, located at 1300 S. Columbus Airport Road. During the investigation, DNA testing was conducted on the human remains. In 2019, the DNA result identified the body parts belonging to the victim, Candice Taylor.

Candice Taylor was last seen alive by family members on June 24, 2017, living in the area of 4990 Chatterton Road. Ms. Taylor was preparing to move from this area to Cincinnati, Ohio with her boyfriend. There are no suspects in this case currently.

This week’s “Crime of the Week” focuses on a Homicide in Columbus from 2020.

On April 26, 2020, at approximately 10:59PM, Columbus Police Officers responded to a shooting in the rear of 912 E. 17th Ave. Upon arrival, they located the victim, 25yr old Jimmi Simpson, inside a vehicle suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Mr. Simpson was pronounced deceased at 11:08PM by a CFD Medic.
