The Senate Judiciary Committee meeting, scheduled for Tuesday, January 18, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. in Room 105 of the Gressette Building, has been cancelled and rescheduled for Wednesday, January 19, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. in Room 308 of the Gressette Building.

The Senate Judiciary Committee will meet on Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at 10:00 a.m., in Room 105 of the Gressette Building. The only matter being taken up in this meeting is Congressional redistricting. The Judiciary Committee Subcommittee Meeting on Redistricting recommended consideration of two specific plans that can be found at the Senate Redistricting website https://redistricting.scsenate.gov/planproposal.html. These plans will be considered as amendments to S. 966.

Redistricting means redrawing the boundaries of districts from which public officials are elected. Members of the United States House of Representatives, the South Carolina Senate, and the South Carolina House of Representatives are elected by voters who live in those districts.
