American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) is a federal aid package that provides funding to families, governments, businesses, schools, nonprofits and others impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. ARPA funding builds a bridge toward economic improvement and provides vital support to communities in crisis.

“During post-collection processing, certain processing anomalies have been discovered. These types of processing anomalies have occurred in past censuses. I am directing the Census Bureau to utilize all resources available to resolve this as expeditiously as possible. As it has been all along, our goal remains an accurate and statistically sound Census.”

If you're a college student, where should you be counted when filling out the 2020 Census?

Let's say you lived in apartment A during the spring 2020 semester but moved home when classes transitioned online due to COVID-19. Then you moved back to Columbia for the fall 2020 semester but you moved into apartment B.

Should you be counted in apartment A? At your parents' house? In apartment B?

The answer is that you should be counted in apartment A...where you were living during the spring 2020 semester before COVID-19. When filling it out, don't forget to include your roommates, they count too!
