**Garbage collection will began at 5:00am on Friday, June 19th.**

Please be advised that Columbia Street will be CLOSED from Baker Ave to Sunset Court Friday, June 19th and from Sunset Court to Simmons Ave on Tuesday, June 23rd for paving. Local traffic only.

Expect long delays, seek alternate routes if possible. Traffic detour will be Baker Ave to Vliet Blvd.

Garbage Collection Notice- Friday, June 19, 2026

Garbage collection in the following areas will begin at 5:00 a.m. on Friday, June 19, prior to paving operations on Columbia Street:

Sunset Court
Elaine Court
Arlington Road
York Road
Lexington Road
Roosevelt Blvd
Stratford Court
Conliss Ave
Columbia Street (from Baker Avenue to Simmons Avenue)

Residents are asked to place their garbage cans curbside Thursday evening to ensure collection. *Due to road closures associated with paving, the Department of Public Works will be unable to return for missed pickups.*

DPW WILL BE PICKING UP TRASH AND RECYCLING ON FRIDAY AS NORMALLY SCHEDULED.

Cohoes City Hall, Court Offices and the Cohoes Public Library will be CLOSED on Friday, June 19, 2026 for Juneteenth.

Department of Public Work will be OPEN all day. Garbage and recyclables normally scheduled for Friday pick-up will be collected.
