Join us for the annual Small Animal Summer Showdown, presented by Kootenai-Shoshone County 4-H! This event is July 18, starting at 9:00 AM at the Farm Park area of the Kootenai County Fairgrounds (enter through the Arena Gate) and is open to the entirety of the University of Idaho Extension Northern District. Entries are open to all youth rabbit, poultry, and pet/pack/dairy goat exhibitors. This year, we're having a Novice division for exhibitors in their first or second year showing that species and an Advanced division for those more experienced. Buckles and other great prizes will be awarded in each division.

More details:
Exhibitors are welcome to register for, and show up to, 2 species in whichever division is applicable for each species. For example, someone in their first year of showing poultry but in their third year showing goats would sign up for the Novice Poultry and Advanced Goat divisions. Be sure to check our schedule before signing up for multiple species to make sure that your classes aren't planned to overlap. Goat exhibitors are not required to full-body clip their goats, even if they're showing a dairy goat.

Tentative schedule (start times subject to change depending on number of registered exhibitors):
β€’ 9:00: Rabbit Advanced, Goat Novice
β€’ 10:00: Poultry Novice, Goat Advanced
β€’ 11:00: Rabbit Novice, Poultry Advanced
β€’ 11:30: Awards ceremony

Register on ZSuite (Members: https://4h.zsuite.org/event-registrations/50387 - Non-members: https://4h.zsuite.org/external-event-registration/50387) or by emailing our program coordinator: [email protected]. There will be a $5 entry fee per class, which we'll collect at check-in (cash or Venmo).

We can't wait to see you there!
