We’re excited to share that three beautiful new sculptures were installed last week at the newly renovated Hird Park, located at the corner of Lexington and Clifton Avenues.

These sculptures are the latest addition to this passive park, which has undergone a significant transformation to create a welcoming space for residents to enjoy. Once the surrounding landscaping and plantings are completed, the renovation project will be finished.

The City of Clifton remains committed to enhancing and beautifying our parks and public spaces for the enjoyment of all.

We ask for your help in keeping Hird Park beautiful, clean, and safe for everyone. Together, we can ensure this special community space remains a source of pride for years to come.

Please note that Clifton City Hall will be closed on Friday, June 19, in observance of Juneteenth. Regular business hours will resume Monday.

NOTICE TO CLIFTON RESIDENTS – FORDHAM ROAD WATER MAIN REPLACEMENT PROJECT

Passaic Valley Water Commission (PVWC) would like to inform residents that J. Fletcher Creamer & Son, Inc. (JFC) will begin construction activities for the Fordham Road Water Main Replacement Project in Clifton tomorrow morning.

This project is part of PVWC's ongoing investment in critical infrastructure to improve the reliability and resiliency of the water distribution system.

Work will generally take place during normal daytime hours. Residents may experience temporary construction-related impacts, including noise, traffic restrictions, temporary parking limitations, minor water discoloration, low pressure, or brief service interruptions as work progresses.

PVWC and JFC will work to minimize disruptions and appreciate the community's patience and cooperation throughout construction.

Just days after successfully restoring normal water service and lifting the precautionary boil water advisory in the Chittenden Road area, our community has faced another challenge as severe winds brought down power lines, causing outages for area residents.

The City of Clifton, our Department of Public Works, Passaic Valley Water Commission, and PSE&G are working hand-in-hand to coordinate response efforts and keep residents informed every step of the way. While water service remains safe and fully operational, many homes are currently without electricity as crews work to safely repair damaged infrastructure.

We are grateful for the dedication of utility workers, first responders, and public works employees who continue to work around the clock on behalf of our residents. Power restoration is anticipated within the next 24 hours.

This is what teamwork looks like—neighbors helping neighbors and agencies working together to keep Clifton safe, resilient, and moving forward. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
