🏡 Realtors, Homebuyers & Title Companies — Did You Know You Can REQUEST a Notary?

I recently had a coffee date with one of my favorite Realtor friends ☕️, and she asked me something that I think MANY people probably wonder:

“Since I use a title company for everything, how can I use YOU as my notary?”

And honestly… this is something more people need to know. 👏

When it comes to a real estate closing, many people don’t realize that they can request a notary they know and trust to handle their signing.

Your title company may coordinate the closing and your lender may have their own requirements, but that doesn’t necessarily mean you can’t request a specific notary.

👉 Realtors: If you have a client who prefers a familiar, professional notary, ask the title company if your preferred notary can be assigned to the signing.

👉 Homebuyers & Sellers: If you have a notary you trust, you can ask whether they can handle your closing. It never hurts to ask!

👉 Title Companies: If you have a reliable local notary or signing agent you’ve worked with and trust, don’t be afraid to add them to your preferred vendor network.

And here’s the important part:

The title company, lender, or closing party still has to approve the notary assignment based on their requirements. But YOU can absolutely communicate your preference and make the request.

You have more say in this process than you may realize. ❤️

This is one of the reasons I love educating my Realtor, lender, title, attorney, and client connections about what I actually do.

I’m not here to replace your title company.
I’m not here to replace your closing team.

I’m here to be the professional notary you know, trust, and can request when the opportunity allows. ✍️🏡

So the next time someone says:

Okay y'all… this one got me. 😭❤️

I received this review today and I honestly had to sit with it for a minute because it made me cry.

When you're running a small business, especially one you've poured your entire heart into, you don't always get to see what your hard work looks like from the outside.

You just keep showing up.

You keep answering the phone.

You keep driving.

You keep printing.

You keep checking every signature.

You keep fixing things before they become problems.

You keep trying to make every client feel taken care of.

And then someone comes along and tells you:

“Brittany sits at the very top of it.”

😭😭😭

This reviewer said they've worked with thousands of notaries across the U.S. and described me as extremely diligent, professional, reliable, and thorough.

But THIS part really got me:

“Her documents come back accurate and clean, and her work requires none of the follow-up or corrections we've come to expect as normal in this industry.”

THAT is what I want my name to stand for.

Not just being a notary.

Not just getting a document notarized.

But being the person you can trust.

And this review couldn't have come at a more meaningful time because I'm working on expanding Elevated Notary Services into something bigger — a carefully vetted signing-service network where I can bring together other professionals who believe in that same standard.

I'm not interested in throwing a bunch of notaries into a database and calling it a signing service.

I want to build a network of people who are professional, reliable, communicative, accurate, and CARE about the work they do.

Because when a title company sends a closing to ENS, I want them to feel the same confidence this reviewer described.

That's the goal.

And maybe that's why this review hit me so hard.

Because sometimes you need someone else to remind you that you're actually doing what you set out to do. ❤️

🚨 NOTARY AWARENESS: When “Just in Case” Becomes a Risk

Sometimes, an instruction in a signing package makes you stop and ask:

“Why are we doing it this way?”

Recently, I received signing instructions that included a request to provide a blank All-Purpose Acknowledgment as a backup in case a stamp was missed.

At first glance, it may sound like a harmless precaution.

But when you're dealing with notarized documents, a certificate isn't simply a spare piece of paper. It should correspond to an actual notarial act.

For me, this raised important questions about notarial integrity, document security, and fraud prevention.

This isn't about accusing anyone of fraudulent intent. It's about recognizing that good processes should minimize unnecessary risk—not create it.

As notaries, we're entrusted with more than making sure signatures are completed and packages are returned.

Our seal carries responsibility.

Today, we say goodbye to Dolly Parton — a woman whose music, kindness, generosity, and unwavering love for her home state touched generations.

Dolly was more than a legendary entertainer. She was a reminder that you can come from humble beginnings, dream big, work hard, and still use your success to lift others up along the way.

We are SO excited to share that we will be moving into our first storefront office this October! 🎉

As we prepare for this next chapter, we’re looking for office furniture, equipment, and other items to help us get our new space up and running.

Today was a BIG day for Elevated Notary Services! 💙✨

We stepped out of the office and into our community — visiting 12 local businesses to introduce ourselves, build relationships, and let people know who we are and how ENS can help.

From real estate professionals and title companies to attorneys, builders, and senior care communities, we’re intentionally building connections with the people who serve our community every day.

This wasn’t about handing out business cards and walking away. It was about putting a face to the name, starting conversations, listening, and building relationships.

And I couldn’t do it without my biggest supporter and teammate. ❤️

What would it cost you if you gave up right now?

For me… it would cost me my happiness.
My freedom.
My ability to provide for my family financially while still being there for the people who need me most.

It would cost me the ability to be present for my disabled children and give my nondisabled children the time, attention, and support they need, too.

Becoming a business owner wasn’t something I did just for myself.

I built this for those who need me.

For my family.
For my children.
For my community.
For the people who trust me with their important moments and documents.

There have been days when walking away would have been easier.

Days when the slow months, the long days, the uncertainty, and the constant juggling made me question whether I was doing the right thing.

But then I remember why I started.

Giving up might be easier.

But for me, the cost of giving up is far greater than the cost of continuing.

So I’ll keep showing up.
Keep learning.
Keep building.
Keep serving.

Because this isn’t just a business.

This is the life I’m building for the people I love. ❤️
