Judge Michelle D. Earley has been selected to serve as the next Vice President of the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association. She will take over as President in 2028-29. Judge Earley has served on the Cleveland Municipal Court since 2009 and was Administrative and Presiding Judge from 2018-2025. Since 2010, she has presided over the court's domestic violence docket and currently oversees both the Domestic Violence High Risk Docket and the Judge Larry A. Jones Recovery Court Docket.

Throughout her judicial career, she has been recognized for her leadership within Ohio's court system, serving on the Ohio Supreme Court's Commission on the Rules of Superintendence and the Grand Jury Task Force, while also completing advanced judicial education as an Advanced Science and Technology Adjudication Resource Program (ASTAR) Fellow.

Prior to joining the bench, she served as a prosecutor and supervisor in the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor's Office, where she led a nationally recognized youth gang-prevention initiative.

Happy ! Check out these future legal minds in action. Cleveland Municipal Court was proud to welcome students from St. Mark School and Our Lady of Angels for a hands-on look at the judicial system, complete with a mock trial where every courtroom role was played by a student.

Yasmine Hasan brings extensive legal experience to her role as Magistrate at the Cleveland Municipal Court. She most recently served as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney for the City of Cleveland (2025–2026) and previously worked with the Ohio Attorney General’s Office (2024–2025).

She also spent eight years with the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office (2016–2024).
Magistrate Hasan earned her J.D. from Cleveland State University College of Law in 2016 and holds dual bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Health Sciences from Cleveland State University.

Judge Johnson was pleased to welcome students from Innovative Career Academy as part of their Mock Trial Project, led by Mr. Derrick Spiva.

It’s always inspiring to see young people step into the courtroom, engage with the judicial process, and explore how our local justice system works firsthand. Opportunities like this help build understanding, confidence, and civic awareness.
