Judge Michelle D. Earley has been selected to serve as the next Vice President of the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association. She will take over as President in 2028-29. Judge Earley has served on the Cleveland Municipal Court since 2009 and was Administrative and Presiding Judge from 2018-2025. Since 2010, she has presided over the court's domestic violence docket and currently oversees both the Domestic Violence High Risk Docket and the Judge Larry A. Jones Recovery Court Docket.
Throughout her judicial career, she has been recognized for her leadership within Ohio's court system, serving on the Ohio Supreme Court's Commission on the Rules of Superintendence and the Grand Jury Task Force, while also completing advanced judicial education as an Advanced Science and Technology Adjudication Resource Program (ASTAR) Fellow.
Prior to joining the bench, she served as a prosecutor and supervisor in the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor's Office, where she led a nationally recognized youth gang-prevention initiative.
