Notary history is actually a little messy… and I LOVE that for today’s lesson. 😂🖋️

Before the stamp, before the seal, before somebody handed us 150 pages and said “sign here, here, initial here…” 😭 people STILL needed somebody they could trust to document what mattered.

We’re talking ancient Egypt, Rome, colonial America… baby, notaries have been outside. 😂

Different centuries. Different tools. Same assignment: integrity, accuracy & trust.

Because apparently back-to-school shopping wasn’t enough… now the form needs to be notarized too. 😂✏️📚

And it’s not just a first-day-of-school thing! Throughout the year, families may run into residency, caregiver, transportation, athletics, travel, or other authorization forms that require notarization.

It matters because schools need important permissions and signatures properly documented. 🫱🏾‍🫲🏿

So when your child pulls that paper out at 8:47 PM talking about, “Oh yeah, I need this tomorrow…” 😭😂
