Investigators with the Hall County Sheriff's Office are searching for a man they believe to be ๐—ถ๐—บ๐—ฝ๐—ฒ๐—ฟ๐˜€๐—ผ๐—ป๐—ฎ๐˜๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ด ๐—ฎ๐—ป ๐—ผ๐—ณ๐—ณ๐—ถ๐—ฐ๐—ฒ๐—ฟ.

The suspect, pictured here in ๐—š๐—•๐—œ ๐˜€๐—ธ๐—ฒ๐˜๐—ฐ๐—ต๐—ฒ๐˜€, stopped two teenage victims as they were traveling on Cornelia Highway/SR 365 the night of Sept. 30, 2023. The man was driving a black sedan with a blue light bar on the top of the vehicle. He approached the victims in their vehicle and told them he was going to write them a ticket for reckless driving. The driver gave the suspect her license and he took a photo of it. He left the scene without giving any documentation to the victims.

HCSO determined there were no legitimate traffic stops performed in that area at the time the incident occurred.

Each victim met separately with GBI sketch artist Kelly Lawson and provided descriptions of the suspect. As you can see, the two sketches have only minor differences. Anyone who recognizes this man is asked to contact Hall County Dispatch at 770-536-8812 to make a report.

Our Chief is right, all the fire departments in the county need help. Weโ€™ve heard all the excuses. I canโ€™t commit to (fill in the blank), Iโ€™m not always available, Iโ€™m too young/old, I donโ€™t know anything about it. They are just excuses. We are all volunteers. We can when we can and we canโ€™t when we canโ€™t.

This is an incredible job you get paid for in ways that arenโ€™t money. If youโ€™ve ever thought about it, contact the VFD in your area. The hardest part, is walking through that station door the first time.

We all live in the communities we serve. How can you make a difference?

RABUN county is under a red flag warning due to high winds and low humidity. Please refrain from burning!!

The National Weather Service has issued a high alert for much of central and north this afternoon through this evening due to low relative humidity. Beginning at noon today, we will suspend burn permits in the counties outlined here until conditions improve: http://ow.ly/tqrI50GYit0. We strongly discourage burning of any kind, including small piles of yard debris, in central and north Georgia until conditions improve. Step away from the matches.
