🏀 Victory Elementary is excited to share a 𝘯𝘦𝘸 addition to our gym!

A 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝘀𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗲𝗯𝗼𝗮𝗿𝗱 has been donated by Erik Ferris, in coordination with Jerry West Basketball. We are so thankful for this gift and the support for our school.

We hope our students, families, and community enjoy seeing it in the gym during basketball season! 🏀

At tonight’s Board of Education meeting, 𝗟𝗼𝗹𝗮 𝗕𝗿𝗼𝘄𝗻, 𝗙𝗲𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗼𝗿, gave the Board an update on the 𝗘𝗟 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺. 🏫

The presentation helped the Board learn more about the program and the support provided to students.

⚾ 𝗦𝗣𝗘𝗖𝗜𝗔𝗟 𝗥𝗘𝗖𝗢𝗚𝗡𝗜𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡

At tonight’s meeting, the Harrison County Board of Education recognized 𝗥𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘁 𝗖. 𝗦𝗵𝗶𝗲𝗹𝗱𝘀, head baseball coach at 𝗕𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗴𝗲𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹, for reaching 𝟭,𝟬𝟬𝟬 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝘄𝗶𝗻𝘀.

Coach Shields reached this historic mark on 𝗠𝗮𝘆 𝟱, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, with a win over 𝗥𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘁 𝗖. 𝗕𝘆𝗿𝗱. He became only the 𝘀𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗮𝗰𝗵 𝗶𝗻 𝗪𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗩𝗶𝗿𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗮 𝗵𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 to reach 1,000 wins, joining Jefferson’s 𝗝𝗼𝗵𝗻 𝗟𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝘆.

In his 𝟯𝟴 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀 leading the Bridgeport baseball program, Coach Shields has helped build a strong tradition of success, including 𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽𝘀 as head coach.

He was also known for his long service, strong player relationships, and program growth. Coach Shields has coached many generations of players, and many still stay connected to him and support his work.

While this milestone was special, Coach Shields kept his focus on his team and the upcoming 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗴𝗮𝗺𝗲𝘀 on 𝗝𝘂𝗻𝗲 𝟭𝟯 in 𝗛𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗼𝗻.

⚾ 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘁𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗛𝗮𝗿𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗠𝗶𝗱𝗱𝗹𝗲 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗕𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗯𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗺!

At tonight’s Board of Education meeting, we recognized the South Harrison Middle School Baseball Team for winning the 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗖𝗪𝗩𝗔𝗖 𝗕𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗯𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽. 🏆

This was the team’s 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗿𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗶𝗻 𝟰 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀!

☀️ 𝗛𝗮𝗽𝗽𝘆 𝗟𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹!

Today is the last day for students for the 2025-26 school year! We hope everyone has a 𝗳𝘂𝗻 and 𝘀𝗮𝗳𝗲 summer.

To our 𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗱𝘂𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗿𝘀, congratulations! We are proud of you and excited to see where your next steps take you. 🎓

Class placements for current Johnson Elementary Pre-K students entering kindergarten next year went home with students today. Current Johnson K-4 students will be bringing theirs home tomorrow.

If your child is not at school tomorrow, you cannot come to the office to pick up the envelope, as we do not have them in the office. At the end of the day, all remaining envelopes will be collected from teachers and mailed through the post office. You should receive them early next week.

On Monday, June 1, we will also mail all incoming Pre-K acceptance letters and returning Pre-K placement letters.

Please remember that neither teachers nor administrators will provide placement information by phone call or text message. We also do not make changes.

Most importantly, no matter who your child is placed with next year, your child will take cues from the attitude you express. Who knows what the year will bring! Let’s remain positive, supportive, and excited for another great school year ahead!
