Training last evening - fun and frigid! It was 10⁰ with a wind chill. Yet we continued with a planned night search taking precautions for searchers and K9s. Our teams worked an almost 1/2 mile trail that went mainly from outside in some very deep snow at times, to inside going up a very narrow staircase in a small building to find a guy who was hiding upstairs from the police and looked a bit like Santa!! Despite the cold, the K9s were awesome. They stayed comfy and warm in cars on between turns. A great night of training with our K9 family! Thank you Pumpkintown for letting us use your many acres and a safe environment!

Last evening, it was perfect and crisp for a fall night training. A full moon and no cloud cover gave us great natural light so helpful for night searches. We didn't run into any werewolves or bears but the coyotes and other dogs were howling. There was also a black and white striped cat that looked much like a skunk but thank goodness it wasn't. The K9s worked an 8 hr old, mile long trail. They all did exceptionally well as the trail was laid in very high winds. Working with good people/friends/teammates and seasoned K9s makes for a great training session. Happy November! All you hunters, please stay safe in the upcoming season. Thank you Pumpkintown for allowing to use a beautiful property!

Great class this evening out by Kinzua Dam. Compass and map work - orienteering taught by Tony Angove. He has extensive military experience in search and recovery as well as orienteering. Very knowledgeable, great to work with, great at teaching with a good sense of humor. Thank you sir for your service to our country and for taking time for us tonight! We will see you in the spring!

Training while it's raining can be a good challenge especially when it's pouring. In the last 2 months, we've had sunny days, muddy days, warm days and cool days. All are great training days! We also had many team members and K9s attend the 2 day Busti Apple Fest but no pictures this year. Now getting ready for cold and snow...

This beautiful lady is the matriarch of our team. Please feel free to wish her a very Happy 92nd Birthday!!! She has not been actively searching for a bit but still comes to most every single weekly training.
