Night 7 of the RCSO Citizens Academy had presentations from our Support Services Division, consisting of the Reserves, Search and Rescue and Mounted Patrol.

Some of the topics we discussed were man tracking, utv/atv, and command structure, including how the Sheriff’s Office handled the Rogers County tornado from 2024, and our process for searching through the devastation of that night.

It’s Wednesday, May 13th, and we are continuing to push last minute contributions to assist the family of 12-year-old Katelyn Woodruff, who remains hospitalized, while continuing rehabilitation therapy at Tulsa’s Children’s Medical Center. Come see us on the steps to our Rogers County Sheriff’s Office (114 S. Missouri Ave).

Thank you, local residents, Andy Mathis and Angela CarvaJal, who showed up early and purchased tickets from Capt Coy Jenkins! They kicked off what we are hoping will be a great day of ticket sales!

Tickets for the AR 5.56 Caliber Rifle, donated by “The Armored Vault” are: One ticket for $20, Three tickets for $50, and Ten tickets for $100. Our “Live Drawing” to determine the winner is scheduled for this Saturday, May 16th, at 10am, on our RCSO page. Hurry, and don’t miss out!!!!!

Night 5 of the RCSO Citizens Academy 2026, our students got to experience the stress of domestic and burglary calls, and the type of training RCSO deputies utilize to make sound judgment and the case law behind those decisions.

During down time, students also flew interior drones searching for suspects on the other side of the house.
