The Montana Legislature specifically allows for one mistake by a person. The McCone County Justice Court follows this advice whenever possible. I have made the decision to follow that advice in my campaign.

Even after a Reprimand from the Commission on Political Practices, my opponent is still not following the rules. His attribution is way too small for anyone to read. I certainly hate to see a formal complaint made against him, but his flagrant violation of the rules calls for it. What would you do? This Man can't even read and follow the law, yet he claims he will follow the law if elected. He cannot even follow the law now.

My opponent is running to be Justice of the Peace, yet he doesn't care about the law. He is plastering the town with illegal campaign signs. His campaign signs are also illegal in the fact that he is advertising himself to be a Republican. This election is non partisan. . He is also breaking the judicial code of conduct by appearing at a Republican dinner. He is doing everything that he can in a Republican leaning county to make sure people know that he is a Republican. This is cheating. It is ethically and morally wrong and illegal. If this is the kind of judge you want then vote for my opponent. I think it is shameful. Should the county decide to do the wrong thing and elect my opponent, I will make sure he's brought up on charges for violating the code of judicial conduct which applies to judicial candidates.

If you want a judge who didn't follow campaign law, vote for my opponent. If you want a judge who circumvented the non-partisan rule, vote for my opponent. If you want a judge who chose not to act ethically in his campaign, vote for my opponent. If you want a judge who thinks he can win when at the District Court or the Montana Supreme Court that he decided an appealed case from his court based on "common sense", then vote for my opponent. If you believe a decade of judicial experience and 33 years of legal experience, a bachelor's degree in paralegal studies, a minor in criminal justice, and a law degree are equal to 0 law experience, vote for my opponent. The law is my vocation. I have devoted a good portion of my legal career to public service.

Unlike the top vote getter, I would never break the Code of Judicial Conduct or cheat to win. I can walk with my head held high. It's a different world today, where the honest candidate is falsely attacked, and the candidate who cheats while breaking the rules is prepared to do anything underhanded to win a seat he is seriously under qualified to hold. I will continue to operate the Justice Court fairly for all, regardless of political affiliation, residence, and any other characteristic. I will follow the law. I would be glad to serve another 10 years. Please consider voting for the best person for the job in November; that would be me.
