The Salvation Prayer

Father God, I come and invite You into my life. I confess today that I am a sinner. I declare that Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior over my life. Your Word says, “If I confess with my mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in my heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, I shall be saved (Romans 10:10).” Therefore, today, I confess Jesus Christ, died for my sins, I believe He rose again, and He is Lord and Savior over my life. I repent from all of my sins and ask for Your forgiveness. Come into my life and show me how to abide in Your Word, Your Will, Your Presence, and Your power. Direct me from this day forward. It is in Jesus Christ's mighty name, I pray, Amen (John 14:14).

Daddy God, I pray this prayer in the power of the Holy Spirit.

In the name of Jesus Christ, I bind, rebuke, and bring to no effect; all division, discord, disunity, strife, wrath, murder, criticism, condemnation, pride, envy
jealousy, gossip, slander, evil speaking, complaining, lying, false teaching, false gifts, false manifestations, lying signs and wonders, poverty, fear of lack,
fear of spirits, deceiving spirits, religious spirits, hindering spirits,
retaliatory spirits, occult spirits, witchcraft spirits (including Jezebel, Delilah, and Apollyon the Destroyer), spirits of antichrist and all familiar and territorial spirits.

I bind all curses that have been spoken against me. I bless those who curse me and pray blessings on those who despitefully use me. I bind all spoken judgments made against me and judgments I have made against others. I bind the power of negative words from others, and I bind and render useless all prayers not inspired by the Holy Spirit; whether psychic, soul force, witchcraft, or counterfeit tongues that have been prayed against me.

I am God's child. I resist the devil. No weapon formed against me shall prosper.

I put on the whole armor of God and take authority over this day, in Jesus' name. Let it be prosperous for me, and let me walk in your love, Lord.

The Holy Spirit leads and guides me today and fills me with all needed gifting and graces. I discern between the righteous and the wicked. I take authority over Satan and all his demons and those people who are influenced by them. I declare Satan is under my feet and shall remain there all day and night.

I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. I am God's property.

Satan has no control over me. He is bound from my family, my mind, my body, my home, and my finances.

I confess that I am healthy , whole, and well. I flourish, am long-lived, stable, durable, incorruptible, fruitful, virtuous, full of peace, patience, and love. Whatsoever I set my hands to do shall prosper for God supplies all my needs. I have all authority over Satan, all demons, and beasts of the field.

God, I pray for the ministry You have for me. Anoint me, God, for all you have called me to do for You. I call forth divine appointments, open doors of opportunity; God ordained encounters, and ministry positions.

I claim a hedge of protection, by the Precious Blood of Jesus, around myself, spouse and children (names), grandchildren (names), and extended family( names) throughout this day and night. I ask You God, in the name of Jesus, to dispatch angels to surround me, my spouse, my children, grandchildren, spiritual children, and extended family today and everyday, and to put them throughout my house and around our cars, souls and bodies. I call on Your holy angels to protect my house from any intrusion and to protect me and my family from any harmful demonic or other physical or mental attacks. I ask all of this in the mighty name of Jesus.
"God indeed is my savior; I am confident and unafraid. My strength and my courage is the Lord, and He has been my Savior" (Isaiah 12:2).

DAY TWO | You’re Not The Only One
Have you ever just really blown it? Well, I’ve got some good news and some really good news. The good news is that you’re not the only one. And the really good news is that God’s not done with you. The truth is, in the middle of our failures, our weaknesses, and our struggles, we feel the true weight of God's grace, mercy, and love. If you're struggling and you’ve been dealing with personal issues, heart trauma, and difficult situations, you’re in good company because everyone in human history has done the same. Let's take off the veneer of Christianity—all the plastic, shiny, social trappings that imply things like, “I’m so good. I never do anything wrong. I never struggle because I follow Jesus, and Jesus’s followers don't struggle!” Ha! Yeah right! As a matter of fact, there’s a long list of people who demonstrate that if you haven't failed yet, you will.

Abraham, the father of faith, lied. Elijah, one of the Bible’s greatest prophets, was suicidal. Moses murdered someone. Gideon was consistency fearful. Samson broke his covenant with God. Rahab was a pr******te. The Samaritan woman was divorced and still sleeping around. Noah got drunk. Jacob lied, over and over. Jonah rebelled against God’s call and was extremely prejudiced. Martha worried—a lot! Zacchaeus stole tons of money from people. Paul killed Christians. And let’s not even get started on the original disciples; they were all different flavors of dysfunctional. We all struggle. We all fall. We all fail. We are all merely human.

I wanted to take a day in this study just to let you know that you are not the only one grappling with feelings of deficiency and the reality of sin. Nothing can separate you from the love of Christ. No matter how low you may feel, Jesus can forgive you, restore you, and even use you for His glory.

Romans 8:26-30 ESV
[26] Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words. [27] And he who searches hearts knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God. DAY ONE | The Miracle In Motown
If you know me at all, you know that I am an avid Detroit Lions fan. Yeah, yeah, save your comments. I’ve heard them all, but my heart still bleeds Lion-blue! I’ve been rooting for them as long as I can remember. We’ve had some major ups and downs together. In fact, one night a few years ago, I was watching a game against our biggest rival, the Green Bay (fill in the blank because I don’t say that team’s name). It’s the fourth quarter, the score 23 DET, 21 GB. There is 0:00 on the clock, and somehow the Lions are flagged for a penalty. This gives Green Bay one more untimed play. So with what seems to be virtually no time left, Aaron Rodgers gets the snap, dances out of the pocket, throws a bomb down field into the end zone, and his receivers leap over several Detroit defenders to snag a game-ending touchdown.

As painful as this was as a Lions fan, I must say that the inspiration I gained from experiencing it was worth it, and here’s why: so many of you that have just begun this journey with me through this devo feel like the game is as good as over in your life. There is no time left on the clock for your hopes, dreams, and desires. You thought life would look different by now. You’ve been knocked down, and there’s no way it could all turn around. Well, they called Green Bay’s crazy play “The Miracle in Motown,” but far beyond a quarterback’s ability to change the outcome of a game is the power of God to change a life! Even when it looks like there’s 0:00 on the clock, God has one more miracle in store that can change everything!

God is not done with your dreams.

God is not done with your ministry.

God is not done with your kids.

God is not done with your career.

God is not done with your marriage.

God is not done with you!

Patient, Gracious, Faithful
Yet this I call to mind
and therefore I have hope:
Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed,
for his compassions never fail.
They are new every morning;
great is your faithfulness.
I say to myself, “The Lord is my portion;
therefore I will wait for him.”
Lamentations 3:21-24 (NIV)
This passage is beautiful. Verses 22-23 are favorite verses for many Christians. The verses that come before it, though? Not so much!

The word “yet” at the start of verse 21 points back to the previous twenty verses of flat-out awfulness. Jeremiah and all of Israel were “under the rod of God’s wrath . . . driven away to walk in darkness . . . weighed down with chains” (vv. 1-7). All day, every day, God’s hand was against them, and they were unable to get out of it. Jeremiah felt like he was experiencing God as a bear or lion waiting in ambush. And it made him a laughingstock, mocked in songs sung by everyone. He didn’t have peace, didn’t know prosperity, and thought he had no future (vv. 7-20).

Yet.

As Jeremiah reflected on the mess, his mood changed direction. He remembered who God is, who He’d shown Himself to be, and the promises Jeremiah could count on. God’s love for him was great and would always be great (v. 22a). Jeremiah might be broken by life, but God wouldn’t let the story end that way (v. 22b). He hadn’t let Jeremiah’s troubles overcome him and wouldn’t—no matter how many times the first twenty verses were true for Jeremiah’s story. The greater reality was, and is, that God’s faithfulness and mercy are new every morning (v. 23). So Jeremiah could put his hope in the Lord (v. 24).

You can, too. You can think about whatever is behind you in the hope of God’s promise for what is ahead. Call it to mind. Have hope. God’s mercies never end. Great is His faithfulness!

What characteristics of God in Lamentations 3:21-24 can you call to mind in times of trouble?
Compare those qualities of God to the chorus of “Hard Fought Hallelujah”—“God, You've been patient. God, You've been gracious, faithful, whatever I'm feeling or facing.” Name as many more characteristics of God as you can call to mind.
Use the list you created to pray a prayer of thanks to God for His faithfulness, for always acting in perfect alignment with His character found in His Word and in life.
