Our second flight is on schedule for next Tuesday, May 19th! We are ready to take our veterans on the trip of a lifetime and then welcome them home with The Best Welcome Home Ever. We will meet in the large space to the right of the Departures area at CVG to greet the veterans when they return. Wear your Honor Flight or patriotic gear and bring your chair if you need to sit while we wait for them to arrive. We look forward to showing our appreciation for their service and sacrifice and hope to see you then.

Honor Flight Tri-State sends off our first flight of the 2026 season tomorrow morning bright and early at o'dark thirty Tuesday morning. 88 veterans and 88 Guardians will be heading to Washington, DC for the trip of a lifetime. The weather will be slightly cool, but they will receive a warm welcome at their memorials. Their warmest welcome will come Tuesday evening when they return to CVG around 8:30 PM to The Best Welcome Home Ever! Join us as we greet our returning veterans from their visit to the memorials in DC with a parade next to the Departures area. There will be a delay between touchdown on the tarmac and arrival to the Welcome Home area, so bring a chair if you absolutely need one. We are guests of the airport, so we may ask you to stay within certain areas, but be sure to wear your patriotic gear or stop by the merch table and buy a new Honor Flight shirt, cap or other item and be ready to applaud and cheer for each veteran as he or she comes by. We look forward to seeing familiar faces and meeting new friends. See you Tuesday evening!

It is hard to believe that Honor Flight Tri-State has its first flight of the 2026 season coming up next week already! Yes, next Tuesday, April 7, is our first flight of the season and we are ready for it. We will gather on the upper level of the Departures area, as we have for the past couple of years, and the Ground Crew will be there to help provide The Best Welcome Home Ever. The flight is scheduled to arrive at approximately 8:30, which means the veterans get to us by about 9. Wear your Red, White and Blue or pick up some new gear at our merchandise table to add to your collection. Remember, we are guests of the airport and we want them to invite us back, so if you or someone in your party needs a chair, please bring one with you. There are a few seats along the front wall, but most of us will be standing while waiting for our veterans. More information will be provided the day before the flight, and we look forward to seeing familiar faces in the crowd next week!

See you next Tuesday at CVG.

What an amazing day we had for our Honor Flight Tristate Flightless Honor Flight! Gratitude to everyone who participated to pay tribute and honor our veterans - this stands as one of the largest Honor Flight Flightless Programs we've experienced thus far. It is wonderful to finally Welcome Home a population that never received one. These vets answered the call when our country needed them. They served in places far from home, often under difficult and dangerous circumstances. And when their service was complete, most simply came home, went back to work, raised families, and carried on quietly—never asking for recognition.

Today, we changed that!! And thanks to our community for making this one of the largest and best Welcome Homes! ♥️🇺🇸
