โš ๏ธ With heavy rain moving through our area and several streets currently closed due to high water, now is the time to stay weather aware and plan ahead. โ›ˆ๏ธ๐Ÿšง

The City of Ciboloโ€™s interactive Floodplain and Road Closure Map allows you to view flood-prone areas and check for current low water crossing closures throughout the city. During significant rain events, the map is updated with the latest information to help residents travel safely. https://www.cibolotx.gov/business/public_works/drainage.php

Before heading out, take a moment to check the map and avoid flooded roadways. Remember: Turn Around, Donโ€™t Drown. Just six inches of moving water can knock an adult off their feet, and a foot of water can carry away most vehicles.

Please use caution, allow extra travel time, and never drive around barricades.

A heartfelt thank you to the Cibolo Historical Committee for completing the beautiful America 250 mural in Downtown Cibolo.

Special recognition to Committee President Chris Beach, who designed and led the mural project, and Vice Chair Ashley Draughon for helping bring this vision to life. Thank you as well to committee members Rance McDaniel, Cindy Rose, Linda Tudyk, and Joe Armstrong (not pictured) for their dedication and hard work.

As we prepare to celebrate Americaโ€™s 250th anniversary, this mural serves as a meaningful tribute to our nationโ€™s history and a wonderful addition to Downtown Cibolo.

06/06/2026

Today, we remember the courage, sacrifice, and extraordinary bravery of the men who stormed the beaches of Normandy on D-Day, June 6, 1944. Their actions changed the course of history and helped secure the freedoms we enjoy today.

A few years ago, I had the opportunity to visit Normandy during the 75th anniversary of D-Day. Standing on those beaches was an incredibly humbling experience. Seeing the distance those young service members had to cross under relentless enemy fire gave me an even deeper appreciation for the immense sacrifice made that day.

As we honor the heroes of D-Day, may we never forget the cost of freedom and the generations who answered the call to defend it. ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ
