AGAPE MEETING NEEDS, SHARING HOPE CAMPAIGN through GiveLocalNRV!💜

Can you imagine not having essential items for your family --— toilet paper, paper towels, or laundry detergent?

For many families in our community, these everyday necessities are simply unaffordable after paying for rent, utilities, childcare, and groceries. When budgets are stretched beyond their limits, even basic household supplies become impossible choices.💜

No parent should have to decide between buying detergent to wash their children's clothes and putting gas in the car to get to work, yet this is the reality many NRV families face every single day.
Your gift of $25 will provide these essential household items for a family of five for one week, with a donation of $100 sustaining the family through an entire month.💜

Agape Center NRV provides our neighbors with free food, diapers and clothing. We would love to have funds for a consistent supply of these household items: toilet paper, paper towels, and laundry detergent!💜

While these products may seem small, they bring dignity, cleanliness, comfort, and peace of mind to households struggling to make ends meet. Early giving for the GiveLocalNRV Giving Day is here!🎉We are excited to participate in the 13th annual GiveLocalNRV Giving Day!🎉 While the Giving Day itself starts at noon on June 24th, early giving begins on June 1st! This period allows us to fundraise in the weeks leading up to the event and offers donors flexibility for their giving.

This year we hope to raise $10,000 to purchase essential household items to give to the NRV neighbors we serve.💜 Our goal is to consistently provide TOILET PAPER, PAPER TOWELS, AND LAUNDRY SOAP to folks as they come to The Agape Center each month!

A donation of $25 can provide a week's supply of these items to a family of 5, but a donation of any amount will help us reach our goal of supplying families with these necessities!💜

Friends, The Agape Center is participating in the Give Local NRV Campaign coming up in June!🎉

Our goal is to raise funds to consistently stock our shelves with PAPER TOWELS, TOILET PAPER, AND LAUNDRY SOAP for our neighbors in need! While we offer free food, diapers, and clothing, it is often difficult to provide these other desperately needed essentials on a regular basis.💜

A donation of $25 would provide a week's worth of these household staples for a family of five, but any amount would help our neighbors in a very tangible way! 🙏

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED! Are you looking for a way to help others in need in our community? The Agape Center NRV is looking for some dedicated volunteers to assist in the food pantry and other areas as we serve the growing needs of our community!💜

The Center, located at 1175 Cambria St. in Christiansburg, is open on Wednesdays and Fridays from 12-4, and one Saturday a month. We serve our community with food, clothing, and houseware needs, as well as spiritual support.💜

Agape Center NRV expresses heartfelt gratitude to the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine (VCOM) and its students for organizing the health screening fair at our Cambria St. location on April 25th!💜 We would also like to thank Carilion Clinic for providing supporting physicians for this event.

In addition to this health screening, VCOM has provided faithful and supportive volunteers on a weekly basis to Agape Center NRV for years.💜For all that you do to benefit our neighbors in the New River Valley, we salute you, and wish you all well in your future endeavors!🩺🙌

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who contributed to our 1st Annual Housewares Campaign — y’all really showed up! 🙌

We had over 25 donors, and some of you even made multiple purchases (you know who you are 💛). Every single item made a difference, and we are so grateful for your generosity.

Here’s what we were able to provide together:
• 5 coffee makers
• 5 toasters
• 5 hand mixers
• 5 can openers
• 5 crockpots
• 5 sets of pots and pans
• 16 warm, fuzzy blankets
• 10 silverware sets
• 32 sheet sets
• 102 towels

Because of you, families will have the essentials they need at home. Thank you for being part of this effort — we couldn’t have done it without you! 💙

There are a few items still on the list if anyone would like to make a donation… otherwise, we’re calling this one cooked, served, and happily wrapped.
