🕷️🐾 As Tick Awareness Month comes to a close, ACO3 Change wants to thank everyone for helping spread awareness and keep Washington County safer for both people and pets. 💚

This month we learned:
✔️ Where ticks hide
✔️ How to protect our pets and families
✔️ Why tick checks matter
✔️ How to safely remove ticks
✔️ The importance of year-round prevention

Remember — being “tick smart” doesn’t end when the month does.

Stay aware. Stay prepared. Stay protected.

🐶 From ACO3 Change:
“Tiny bug. Big problem. But together, we can outsmart them.”

Thank you for following along with Tick Talk and helping us build a healthier, safer community — one paw at a time. 🐾

💚🐾 Working together, we can build a safer and healthier community for both people and pets.

Tick prevention isn’t just about protecting your own family — it helps protect our entire community too.

By taking simple steps like:
✔️ Checking pets for ticks
✔️ Keeping yards maintained
✔️ Using flea & tick prevention
✔️ Staying informed

…we can reduce the risks for everyone. 🕷️

ACO3 Change and Washington County Animal Services are proud to help educate, protect, and serve our community one paw at a time.

🐶 Remember:
“Prevention today helps protect tomorrow.”

🕷️🌿 Ticks don’t take the year off… and neither should prevention.

Many people think ticks disappear after summer, but here in Florida, ticks can stay active during every season — including winter on warmer days. 😬

That means protecting your pets and family should always be part of the routine.

🐾 ACO3 Change’s Year-Round Reminder:
✔️ Keep pets on flea & tick prevention
✔️ Check pets (and yourself) after being outside
✔️ Keep grass and brush trimmed
✔️ Remove ticks quickly and properly

A little prevention goes a LONG way when it comes to keeping your family safe — two legs and four. 💚

🐶 From ACO3 Change:
“Ticks may be tiny… but they never clock out.”

😬🕷️ Nobody wants to find a tick. But if you do… don’t panic.

✔️ Use tweezers ✔️ Grab close to the skin ✔️ Pull straight out slowly ✔️ Clean the area well

🚫 Don’t: • Burn it • Twist it • Smother it • Use weird internet “hacks”

🐾 ACO3 Change says: “Just because your cousin’s friend used gasoline once… doesn’t mean you should.” 😅

🐶🔍 DAILY TICK CHECK TIME.

Ticks LOVE hiding in places you don’t always look.

Be sure to check: 👂 Ears 🐾 Between toes 🦴 Under collars 🐕 Belly and legs 🎯 Around the tail

The faster you find a tick, the lower the risk of disease.

ACO3 Change recommends turning tick checks into part of your daily routine after outdoor adventures.

Because nobody likes surprise passengers. 😅
