Over the past month, many of you have checked in on me, offered kind words, and asked how I’m doing. I appreciate that more than I can express. It has taken me a little time to make this post because I wanted the chance to reflect on the past year and everything this campaign meant to me.
While the result was not what we hoped for, I am incredibly proud of the campaign we ran. It was a close race, and we built something honest, hardworking, positive and we gave this race everything we had.
Most of all, I want to thank everyone who supported me along the way — those who donated, volunteered, put up signs, shared posts, talked to neighbors, encouraged me, and cast their vote for me. Your belief in me meant the world.
A very special thank you to my dad for his unwavering support. He was by my side every single day, from early mornings to long hours at the polls. I truly could not have done this without him.
And a huge thank you to the Kilroy family for all of their support, generosity, and friendship throughout this journey. All the help with the petitions, posts, help at the polls and honestly everything in between. Thank you 🩷
Although this chapter did not end the way I hoped, I walk away with gratitude, pride, and no regrets. It was the honor of a lifetime to run this campaign, and I am deeply thankful to everyone who was part of it.
