ALERT: ICE Activity Confirmed in Ride Share Waiting Area at O’Hare Airport

On Friday, October 10, ICIRR received confirmed reports of ICE and other immigration enforcement agents targeting ride share drivers in the designated waiting lots at O’Hare Airport.

Please take precautions when driving to these areas over the coming days. Remember: you have the right to remain silent, the right to ask for an attorney, the right to refuse to sign anything, and the right to speak with the consulate from your country of citizenship.

If you witness any ICE activity, or if someone in your family has been taken by ICE, please call 855-435-7693.

Kennedy drivers! The finish line is in sight, but we’ve got a little ramp work left as we work to wrap up the rehab project.

The westbound Ontario ramps to the outbound Kennedy will close by 11 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 12. The Ontario feeder ramp from Orleans to the Kennedy will also close at 11 p.m. and reopen by 5 a.m. Monday, Oct. 13 for access to the southbound Kennedy/Dan Ryan only.

The outbound ramps will be closed for about two weeks for repairs and pavement patching.

Maybe when the lot is empty and passengers can’t get a ride from the airport Uber and Lyft might bother to do something to protect us, if Dara isn’t too busy licking boot.

Workers deserve better than to have to worry if they will be detained on the job just because they look brown.
