Como musicoterapeutas, latinos y seres humanos, nos negamos a permanecer en silencio ante una clara injusticia. La deshumanización de cualquier inmigrante es inaceptable y ahora es el momento de unirnos y actuar en solidaridad.

Hello everyone! ¡Hola familia!

My name is Valeria (she/her/ella) and I will be doing a takeover this week! I am so excited to share a glimpse of my work and life as a Latina music therapist.
Born and raised in Puerto Rico, I currently live Chicago, Illinois! I am a full time school music therapist for Institute for Therapy through the Arts, which is a creative arts therapies non-profit organization that services the Chicagoland area. I also work as a PRN music therapist for Lurie Children’s Hospital in downtown Chicago. Throughout both my jobs, I have gained invaluable experience and knowledge that I would love to share with you all. Thanks for following along!

Mi nombre es Valeria (she/her/ella) y voy a estar haciendo un takeover durante esta semana! Estoy emocionada por compartir con ustedes un pequeño vistazo de mi trabajo y vida como una músicoterapeuta latina.
Soy nacida y criada en Puerto Rico, ¡y ahora vivo en Chicago, Illinois! Trabajo a tiempo completo para el Institute for Therapy Through the Arts(ITA) una organización sin fines de lucro de artes creativas (música, danza, arte y teatro/drama).
