G.O.A.L is a training incubator for diverse political talent, developing a pipeline of future political leaders that reflects society.

The Global Organization for Applied Political Leadership (G.O.A.L) was conceived during a series of conversations between founders Jonathan McGee and Laura Brendle. As young professionals with Masters degrees in political management and global communication, they noticed a serious disconnect between the resources their education provided and the resources needed to pursue an effective political ca

reer. G.O.A.L bridges that gap for young diverse leaders by providing practical political skills training, professional development, and networking opportunities. Laura, a Swiss national, and Jonathan, originally from the South-side of Chicago realized that while their diverse backgrounds actually made them better political leaders, they did not have the same resources available as other professionals.

The Good Idea Challenge empowers Chicago students, ages 13-19, to answer the question ‘How might we create a more Happy, Healthy and Connected Chicago in 2020?’

Tackling big issues like neighborhood safety, equity and inclusion - access to 21st century education - the top good idea submitted on or before March 31st will win an unrestricted $10,000 top prize.

Over the next 90 days social channels will release daily - with information to empower youth with knowledge across our three key topics, 60 second spotlights - featuring diverse innovators from across Chicago, upcoming local events and other ways to , workbooks to support students in generating, cultivating and growing an idea that can do good for our city -- and even with ways to win fun perks and prizes! (P.S. this week it's BULLS tickets!!!)

Because of the work you do each day to empower young people, we're excited for you to share the opportunity with Chicago city 13-19 year old bold thinkers.
