All about Proviso today! 🐾🏈

SGT Nunez and I started the morning at the Proviso Math & Science Academy Job Fair, then headed over to Proviso West for the classic Proviso West vs. Proviso East rivalry game!

As a proud Proviso West alum, it’s always great being back in the community that helped shape me. Even better, I’m excited to introduce SGT Jose Nunez as the new Army National Guard recruiter serving all of Proviso — Proviso West, Proviso East, PMSA — and Leyden Township! 😉

Jordan enlisted today in the Illinois Army National Guard as a 12B Combat Engineer! Currently a senior at New Trier High School, Jordan is getting a head start on his future and opening the door to endless opportunities through a career.

From serving his community and country to gaining valuable skills, experience, and education benefits, Jordan is building his future before he even graduates.

🏅 Success doesn’t stop at the state line.

Congratulations to SPC Angel Gomez, a proud member of the Cab Squad, on receiving the Army Achievement Medal in recognition of his outstanding service with his unit in the Wisconsin Army National Guard. 🇺🇸

🎓 Angel enlisted in the Illinois Army National Guard while he was a student at Niles West High School. After graduation, he transferred to the Wisconsin Army National Guard to attend the prestigious Marquette University, where he’s pursuing a nursing degree. 🩺

💪🏽 One of the best parts of serving as a recruiter is watching Soldiers continue to succeed long after they leave for training. Angel’s journey is proof that enlisting in the Illinois Army National Guard doesn’t limit your future. It opens doors. If your education, career, or life takes you to another state, it’s possible to transfer to another Army National Guard unit while continuing to serve and pursue your goals.

👏🏽Seeing members of the Cab Squad family earn recognition and make an impact in their units is something I’ll never get tired of. I’m incredibly proud of everything Angel has accomplished, and I know this is only the beginning.
