Congratulations to Mitchell R. Davis III on his election as president of the National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives - NOBLE! In addition to his abundant community work, Chief Davis serves as police chief for the The Official Village Of Hazel Crest and is a valuable commissioner on the IL Commission on Discrimination and Hate Crimes. Thank you, Commissioner Karen Tamley for hosting last month’s CDHC meeting at Access Living.

As part of our agenda, we heard from Scott Althaus, Merriam Professor of Political Science, Professor of Communication, and Director of the Cline Center for Advanced Social Research at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.

Dr. Althaus and the Cline Center are doing important work as part of the CDHC’s Resilience & Community Research Study, which will be released early next year.
