Though the pictures are a bit fuzzy, the message came through loud and clear. I was truly honored to serve as a guest speaker at todayโ€™s girls empowerment series, hosted by the Cheektowaga Police Blue Bridges Initiative.

I posed the question, "Have you ever been afraid to try something new?" I concluded by encouraging them never to fear stepping into their true purpose, because thatโ€™s where my heart truly lies; in SERVICE.

I had the honor of attending the Pillars of Our Legacy event hosted by The Buffalo Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.

It was a wonderful evening celebrating 50 years of impact, service, and legacy, highlighted by a powerful commemorative film and recognition of the women who continue to make a difference in our communities.

Thank you for an inspiring celebration.

Today, I had the honor of attending the Annual Memorial Service for the Cheektowaga Police Department, where we honored and remembered the brave officers who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our community.

We are forever grateful for their courage, dedication, and commitment to protecting others. As we remember these heroes, we also keep their families, friends, and fellow officers in our thoughts and prayers.

Their service will never be forgotten.

Tonight, I co-sponsored Resolution 2026-311 in support of the New York Health Act.

The resolution PASSED and calls on New York State legislators to fully consider legislation (S3425/A1466) that can help assure affordable and effective healthcare for residents of Cheektowaga and across New York State.

Healthcare impacts every family and every community. Iโ€™m proud to support continued conversations around access, affordability, prevention, and healthier futures for all.

For me, mental health is not the latest buzzword or political trend. It is a real issue impacting real people, real families, and real communities every single day.

As leaders, our responsibility is not just to talk about mental health, but to create environments where people feel supported, heard, safe, and connected.

Compassion is not weakness. It is leadership.
