Duty, Honor, Country, A Lifetime of Service" ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ. From the halls of West Point to the highest levels of military leadership, the journey has been one of unwavering commitment, sacrifice, and purpose. As a Joint Staff Director, I have had the privilege of working alongside the finest leaders and warriors, those who embody the very core of our militaryโ€™s strength: integrity, discipline, and an unshakable resolve. West Point instilled in me the values that have guided my every step: leadership, duty, and a relentless pursuit of excellence. Those same principles continue to shape my mission today, ensuring that we stand ready to protect our nation and uphold the freedoms we hold dear. To my fellow service members, past, present, and future, you are the heart of this great institution, and your dedication is what keeps our flag flying high. The work is never done, but with the right leadership and commitment, we will always be ready to meet any challenge. For country. For duty. For those who serve. ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ. .

Good afternoon, 1ID Family
On behalf of MG Rone and CSM Noyes, I share this official announcement with you.
Following the Army's directive, Fort Riley is concluding operations of the Commanding General's Mounted Color Guard to align more resources with our warfighting capability and readiness.
We will work diligently to find suitable homes for our horses and will keep the community informed throughout this transition. This change does not impact the 1st Infantry Division's ("Big Red One") core priorities: building warfighting readiness, caring for Soldiers, civilians, and families, adapting our formations to win, and developing inspirational leaders. We remain committed to strengthening partnerships and engaging with our surrounding communities.
As we develop the plan in the coming days, we will be sure to keep you informed of our way forward and its progress.
Lastly, this directive does not involve the 1st ID Band in any way.
The band will continue with its scheduled events and performances. They will continue their mission.
โ€œThe 1st Infantry Division Band is the musical ambassador for the United States' premier fighting force. The Big Red One Band represents the 1st Infantry Division for military ceremonies and the communities that support the American Soldier.
Sincerely, MAJ Guster Cunningham III 1ID Public Affairs Officer
