Today is not just another date on the calendar.
May 26 is Remembrance Day a day carved into the soul of our nation.
As a General in the United States Armed Forces, I’ve had the honor of standing beside some of the bravest men and women this country has ever known. Many of them never came home. They didn’t get to grow old, to hold their children again, or see the sunrise of peace they fought to protect.
Today, we don’t speak their names in sadness, but in solemn pride.
We remember every fallen soldier, every final sacrifice, and every family forever changed. Their legacy is written in the freedoms we live by, and it is our sacred duty to never let that memory fade.
If you're reading this, take a moment. Just one.
Say their names. Light a candle. Fly your flag. Talk to your children.
Because remembrance is not a ritual it’s a responsibility.
To the heroes we’ve lost: You are not forgotten.
Your country remembers. I remember. Always.
