TEST RESULTS ARE IN: Today, the State Board of Education released testing and accountability data for the 2025-2026 school year, and there is good news for Gaston County Schools.

▪ Highest year-to-year increase in student proficiency on state tests
▪ Graduation rate reaches an all-time high of 90 percent

We had our first school-wide Paideia Seminar of the year today. All students read the poem “What If,” by Shel Silverstein and then discussed in their classes.

Students practiced:

👂 active listening
🗣️ speaking in front of their peers
❤️ how to disagree respectfully

….And so much more!

We are looking for another bus driver to join our team, serving Cramerton Middle School and New Hope Elementary School. Complete the application if interested!

The employee will perform work as a bus driver, safely transporting students from home to school to home, on field trips, and performing a variety of clerical duties associated with Transportation operations.

We have our home openers for football and softball this week!
Football plays tomorrow vs. Stanley - students are encouraged to dress in Hawaiian theme for this game.
Softball plays Thursday vs. Southwest.

Students who plan to attend the game must purchase their ticket during lunch. Student tickets are $5, cash only. Other spectators will purchase tickets at the gate; cash tickets are $7 at the gate. For cash tickets, please bring exact change. Digital tickets can also be purchased via
Hometown Ticketing; there is a $1 platform fee for digital ticket sales, making those tickets $8.

Our athletic events do follow a NO BAG policy. Please do not attempt to bring bags through the gate at athletic events; all spectators are subject to metal detection.

Students staying to watch the games should have a ride at Cramerton Middle School for pick-up at 5:30. Students who are not picked up from games in a timely manner will lose their privilege to attend our athletic events.
