This is a historic ruling that brings us closer to Dr. King's dream. Institutions of higher learning will now have to evaluate students solely on the content of their character (and the quality of their CV), with no consideration given to the color of their skin.

The court sided with challengers who argued the practice discriminates against white and Asian-American students.

This is encouraging news! Although we can't stop here. We have the votes in NC to institute pure backpack funding. The money should follow the student. ALL of it. If a local LEA failed to win a family's business, why should it receive any of the tax money allocated for the student?

Newly minted Republican Rep. Tricia Cotham of Mecklenburg County is the primary sponsor of the House version of a bill that would dramatically expand school choice across North Carolina.

Moms For Liberty Carolinas Education Summit

Sponsored by Charlotte Mecklenburg Republican Women and Coalition For Liberty

In keeping with its mission to support the right of all Americans to exercise their freedom of speech, support like-minded grassroots organizations, and return our education system to its classical apolitical roots, the Coalition For Liberty has partnered with the Charlotte Mecklenburg Republican Women (CMRW) to cosponsor a Carolinas Education Summit for Moms For Liberty.

The event features keynote speaker Dr. James Lindsay, an American-born author, mathematician, and political commentator. He has written multiple books spanning a range of subjects including religion, the philosophy of science and postmodern theory. He is the co-founder of New Discourses, where he has published numerous articles on such topics as Social Justice, Critical Race Theory, Cultural Marxism, and Woke Politics.

The event will also feature Kenny Xu, author of author of “An Inconvenient Minority”. Mr. Xu is the founder of Color Us United, a group that opposes dividing America by race, religion, sexual orientation or any other characteristic and resists those who divide Americans in the name of “racial equity” - in government, schools, corporations, journalism, or social media.

In addition to the keynote speakers, Kelly Mann of the John Locke Foundation will talk about the resources that the Foundation can provide to grassroots organizations.

We encourage everyone to attend this event.

This is where misuse of resources and leadership that puts the system before the students gets you. And now Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools wants another multi-billion dollar bond. Call your district reps and tell them no bonds unless we get the RIGHT Superintendent.

This year’s third-graders took an especially hard hit from pandemic classroom disruptions. CMS Interim Superintendent Crystal Hill said she expects next year’s third-graders to rebound faster, but that’s little consolation for the kids who are moving toward the years when reading skills are es...

BIG win today! We are a giant leap closer towards the goal of universal backpack funding. The money should follow the student, whether they go to public, religious, private, tech, or are taught at home. Force public schools to compete and you will see a complete 180 degree turn in the quality of education in this country.

The 6-3 opinion, which was along ideological lines, invalidates provisions in 37 state constitutions that ban the direct or indirect use of taxpayer money in religious schools.
