Did you know has granted nearly $700,000 to military families for help with emergency pet care? 65% of that goes to support families by helping them move their pets overseas to their next duty station. We're thankful to our PCS partners, like Continental Pet Relocation/Charlotte Pet Services who help make safe pet travel possible, and work with us to provide grants to military families. They supported us for . How about you?

Need more info? When a military member receives orders to move overseas, the military pays for their household goods and human-family to move. In majority of circumstances, the military member is responsible for paying for their pets to make the travel. This can cost anywhere from $1000 to $10,000 😲 depending on the size of pet, type of pet, destination and departure location, airline availability and time of year. Once the military members pays to get there, they then have to pay to get their pet back home again, merely 2-3 years later. That can be a heavy toll on a military family. That's why we help with military moving costs for pets. We want to keep military families TOGETHER.

Important Announcement:
ANA Cargo has announced that effective DEC 1 2019, specific breeds will require a metal crate. This will effect our flights from HND and NRT to OKA and IWK.
Breeds include: GSD, Great Dane, Boxer, Doberman, Pitbull, Akita, Saint Bernard, Kishu and Tosa. We do have the option to provide and ship these dogs using metal crates from the US, however the IMPACT crate is very expensive for the 700 and 750. We are working to gather more information and have asked the airline if the wooden crates could be accepted as an alternative. Will update once we have more information.

UPDATED HEALTH CERTIFICATE INFORMATION FOR PET TRAVEL TO THE UK

Notice - the UK has updated the policy for reporting the "date of validity" for the rabies vaccination on the health certificate when pet is traveling at least 21 days after the primary rabies vaccine. If the pet is traveling after a booster rabies vaccination, there is no change to how the dates are reported.

The UK requires proof of a PRIMARY rabies vaccination. A PRIMARY rabies vaccination is defined as a rabies vaccination administered after the implant of the microchip that is valid for only one year and must be boostered within the first year of the vaccine.

UPDATE: Effective immediately, the United Kingdom has provided the following guidance regarding how to enter rabies vaccine validity dates on the health certificate:

FOR PRIMARY RABIES VACCINATION: On the rabies vaccination table, under the header "Validity of vaccination" "from" the date entered should be 21 days after the primary vaccination was administered.

Example: Date of vaccination: 01/03/2019
Validity of vaccination From: 22/03/2019 To: 01/03/2020

FOR VALID BOOSTER RABIES VACCINATION: On the rabies vaccination table, under the header "Validity of vaccination" "from" the date entered should be the date the booster was administered.

Example: Date of vaccination: 01/03/2019
Validity of vaccination From: 01/03/2019 To: 01/03/2022

Pets less than 12 weeks old that have not been vaccinated for rabies as well as pets 12-16 weeks old that were vaccinated for rabies less than 21 days prior to arrival in the UK are NOT eligible for entry into the UK and may be refused entry or quarantined upon arrival at the owner’s expense.

After a primary rabies vaccination, the pet must wait 21 days before it is eligible to enter the EU.
Applies only to pets over 16 weeks of age that have just received a primary rabies vaccination.
