Strong bodies. Strong minds. Strong team.🥎🦏

I’m incredibly thankful for the opportunity to step back into one of the areas I love; health, fitness, and encouraging athletes to push beyond what they think they can do!

Today, I had the opportunity to lead a workout for the Gaston College Women’s Softball Team, alongside BLET Instructor Adam Wilson. And these ladies WORKED! 🔥

There’s something special about watching young women embrace a challenge, dig deep when they’re tired, encourage the person beside them, and keep going. Grit. Determination. Teamwork. Those qualities will take them far beyond the softball field.

I’m also incredibly grateful for the continued partnership between Gaston College and our Dallas community. Having Gaston College right here in Dallas is something we are proud of, and opportunities like this remind me how much we can accomplish when education, athletics, public service, and community come together.

Thank you to the coaches and players for letting us spend the morning with you. I’ll be cheering you on this season!

I am incredibly grateful and humbled to have been appointed Co-Chair of the NC League of Municipalities Legislative Policy Committee, alongside Mayor Pro Tem David Hunt of Ahoskie, North Carolina.

The League convenes a new committee every two years to develop the legislative priorities that will guide advocacy efforts on behalf of North Carolina's municipalities. It's meaningful work that directly impacts communities across our state, and I am excited to be part of the process.

A special thank you to Mayor Jody McLeod of Clayton, North Carolina for your leadership and for entrusting us with this responsibility.

I'm looking forward to continued collaboration with municipal leaders from every corner of North Carolina as we work to develop thoughtful, forward-looking policy goals that reflect the needs of our cities and towns.

The Town of Dallas is looking for motivated youth leaders to serve on the 2026-2027 Mayor Student Council (MSC)!

The Mayor Student Council gives students in grades 9–12 the opportunity to represent youth voices, serve the community, and grow as future leaders.

- Students in grades 9-12 for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year.
- Must be a resident of the Dallas Township OR attend a school located within the Town of Dallas.
- Must be willing to attend monthly meetings and participate in community service events.
