Introducing a new, easy way to support our shelter!

We are so excited to announce the launch of our Walmart Wish List Registry!

Want to make a difference but aren't sure what to donate, or how? Our registry makes it easy! We've added some of our most-needed items, and you can purchase something directly from the list to help support survivors and families staying in the shelter.

Every item, big or small, helps us create a safe, comfortable, and welcoming space for those we serve.

Check out our registry here: https://www.walmart.com/registry/RR/a8e1016e-0407-4f42-a007-6720ac9a3175

Thank you for continuing to show up for survivors in our community!

Want to give back without signing up for a whole volunteer commitment? We've got the perfect spooky project for you!

For Domestic Violence Awareness Month, we are looking for a group, church, classroom, business, or community organization to help us make ghost lollipops with APC info attached to share throughout the community!

This is a great take-home volunteer opportunity for a group that wants to make a difference! Make them during a meeting, youth group, lunch break, family night, or just gather some friends and have a spooky craft night! This can be a great opportunity to get service hours for kids in philanthropy clubs!

Every little ghost helps us put resources into the hands of someone who may need them.

Interested in helping us make some ghosts? Send us a message, or reach out to McKayla at 704-481-0180.

Pssst... We have something spooky planned for OctoberπŸ‘»

Domestic Violence Awareness Month is just around the corner, and, this year, our theme is:

πŸ’œLove Shouldn't Be Scary!πŸ’œ

While October may still feel a little ways away, we wanted to give you a sneak peek of what we have planned!

Throughout Domestic Violence Awareness Month, we'll be talking about what healthy love looks like, helping our community recognize signs of unhealthy and abusive relationships, and finding ways to show up for survivors in Cleveland County.

And we want YOU to be a part of it!

As October gets closer, be on the lookout for opportunities to help us spread the word, including sharing posts, making spooky informational ghost lollipops, inviting us to table, hosting a canned food drive, and more!

So consider this your official sneak peek...
πŸ‘» October is coming
πŸ’œ Love shouldn't be scary
πŸŽƒ And we're going to need our community to help us make some noise!

Stay tuned!πŸ‘€

Thank you so much to Blooms and Blessings for Hope for the work you are doing to support our mission!

We could not do this work without the support of our community!πŸ’œπŸ©΅

Mom & I went to the grocery store and bought a week of food for the shelter. A week of food is about $96.

That money buys the boring stuff. Rice, beans, eggs, oats, bars for breakfast, whatever produce was cheap this week, something for sandwiches. This week it's peanut butter. There is nothing in this cart that anyone is particularly excited about.

But it is one week no one has to think about.

Feeding everyone who comes through the door for a year runs about $5,000. If not for APC's current generous in-kind food donors, it would be even higher than that. In other words, $96 dollars a week only stays $96 because neighbors already donate some food β€” your gift fills the gap.

A $100 Seed sponsorship secures a week of food that survivors don't have to think about. https://givebutter.com/bloomsandblessings

βœ… If you can't get a call to go through because of poor mobile reception
