Some housekeeping items:

I’ll be getting around picking up signs this week as the weather allows—if you still see any left by the weekend, shoot me a note so I know what I’ve missed.

I’m going to leave this page live until I get my final campaign finance report in (within the next week or two) so we can finish as transparently as we started. Once that’s done I’m going to issue a report breaking down the campaign from a numbers perspective in the hopes that it will give anyone looking to run in the future some insight into what it takes.

On a personal note, this was the first morning since November that I gave myself the luxury of sleeping in and didn’t jump out of bed to shower, shave, and hit the road—and I’m enjoying catching up on a lot of missed time with my family, neglected projects, and a long overdue bit of rest.

A quick shoutout to Brad C Simon for being in his seat at 9:00 this morning for Joint Budget after the polls just closed at 7:30 last night. Whether you supported him or not, that kind of work ethic is what we’re going to need to set things straight in the District.

Lastly, election season isn’t quite over yet. We have a runoff in the H46 seat between Curtis Varnell and Tonya Fletcher. I encourage everyone to reach out to them, talk about their positions and vision for the district, and make an informed decision when we go back to the polls in a few weeks.

Thanks again for all of the support!

I’m proud of the campaign we ran even though it wasn’t quite enough to get the win. SD26’s next Senator is Brad C Simon. I called Brad a few minutes ago to congratulate him on a hard fought election and wish him well in the senate.

For me, as I promised in the beginning, the work doesn’t stop here. Budget hearings start at 9 a.m. tomorrow and Day 1 is the Department of Corrections.

Hey Gravel & Grit, y’all miss me? Let’s get to work.

The polls are now closed. Before we get the results, I want to extend my sincerest thanks to everyone who's supported, encouraged, and volunteered for the campaign, to my wonderful wife and son for juggling everything else while I’ve been working, to every other candidate for being willing to serve, and to every SD26 citizen for making this a great place to live. Running for this seat has been an incredible experience and getting to know all of the amazing corners of this District has been a true blessing.

As we anxiously await the results, my commitment remains as it did when we started: Win or lose, the work doesn't stop.

Thank you.

The closing credits. Folks, we've put in the work over the last few months. If you haven't seen our campaign, here's a brief resume. I am humbly, for one last time, asking for your vote, for your declaration of independence from a failed system, and for your courage to chart a new path forward.

Spent the day split between knocking doors and visiting all the district polling places. For anyone curious, the most efficient route I found is 205 miles/4 hours and 27 minutes. It’s a beautiful drive all around.

Wrapped up the day attending the Greenwood City Council meeting and speaking to the council to offer a long overdue “thank you” for stepping up to issue a resolution standing against the prison before any of us knew what was going on.

Election Day is TOMORROW! Polls open 7:30-7:30. If anyone has any questions or needs any help getting to the polls, please feel free to reach out anytime—(479) 275-9573.

💡CITIZEN SPOTLIGHT💡

As we move ever closer to Election Day, I'm honored to be selected as the first highlight of For AR People's new "Citizen Spotlight" series--and I'm honored to continue to serve this community any way I can.

"The fight’s not over; the fiscal session is fast approaching and it’s a near-certainty that Sanders will push hard to get the funding bill over the line. But it’s worth spotlighting someone who never wanted to lead a political movement and did so anyway when his community asked him to stand up.

Looking out for your neighbors? That’s the Arkansas way. That’s the Adam Watson way."
