Enjoyed a beautiful morning at the Charles Town Farmers Market, WV then made my way over to early vote. Imagine my surprise when I learned I was voter #1,320! This is unacceptable. With such an important race for Jefferson County (and all the complaints I’ve heard) this number should be tripled at the very least. I hope many many more show up on Tuesday.

Today is the last day for early voting! And please remember this Tuesday (bring a friend or two) is the final chance to vote for your candidates

The City of Charles Town seeks applicants for the position of Operations Director. This is a management level, overtime exempt position that includes responsibility for the purchasing, contract, information technology, records management, asset management, municipal court, website management, insurance, safety, general employee training, and other operational functions for the City of Charles Town. The position includes responsibility for providing and delivering the administrative services noted above to ensure the efficient operations of the organization. This position develops policies and procedures for such services and ensures that all city employees understand how to access services as appropriate.

Whether you are launching a new product or expanding and existing program, this grant is designed to help turn great ideas into meaningful impact right here at home. Grant awards will be based on community benefit, sustainability, and demonstrated need. Funding is limited, and applications will be reviewed through a competitive selection process.
