We’re so proud to have the opportunity to announce the Jefferson County Young Democrats will be hosting the first and only debate of the primary season for our U.S. Senate candidates seeking the Democratic nomination!! All candidates have been invited, come see who said yes on April 24th!

Join us for a fun evening of hearing from our candidates and why they should represent the Democratic Party against Shelley Moore Capito!

Friday, April 24th 6-8pm (maybe 8:30 if the debate takes longer)

In the auditorium of the Robert C. Byrd Center at Shepherd University.

We will also be live streaming the event if you can’t make it in-person.

Our Delegates voted to condemn our children to abuse and are hiding behind parental rights as an excuse! Parents should absolutely have the right to homeschool their kids but kids deserve not to be in abusive situations. They deserve not to be starved and covered in bruises, burns, and lacerations until they die of sepsis from drinking toilet water because they weren’t given any water at all.

They tanked a common sense solution that would have helped in many future cases but they thought playing politics was more important.

We have an amazing chance to send 3/4 of these Delegates packing from the Legislature! They can be defeated but not without hard work and community building. Give there opponents a look! Don’t support them just because they’re Democrats but because they would’ve supported HB5537!!!

Thank you Charles Town!! We raised over $100 and thank you Jenny Thacker candidate for the WV House of Delegates in district 100 for joining us! It was amazing to talk to the people enjoying the amazing weather we had Saturday. Also a BIG THANK YOU to Foils and Fades Salon for letting us have a table outside!
