Even though I did not win. I want to thank everyone for their support in this journey. I never would have embarked on this journey if it wasn’t for Elect Brittany Daugherty for Chandler Town Council, District 3 and Elect Sarah Eller for Chandler Town Council, At-Large. Congratulations Sarah Eller. Thank you to my family for backing me. And congratulations to all the elected officials. This was an experience added to the bucket list and checked off. Big thank you to my husband Jonathan Pate for supporting me in whatever I choose to do. Let’s see what’s next.

I would love to hear from residents about things you would like to see in Chandler. Yes, I know we need a grocery store. Things other than that one because I know that’s top on a lot of peoples list.

I am just your average everyday citizen. I am NOT a POLITICIAN by any means. At any given time, you can generally find me volunteering at Chandler Elementary school, dabbling in some gardening with my husband, or spending time with my three children and family.

As a lifelong Chandler resident, I have seen changes and have noticed the lack of parent voices being represented. I want the community to get back to the true “Chandler a Town that Cares”. Unfortunately, I feel like that has slipped away over the years.

Like many people in town, I have children who attend the school, play at the park, etc. Things that I’d like to see an improvement with are the parks, possibly trying to bring back ballpark activity, improve safety, and provide adequate places for teens, amongst other things. I feel the Town Council should be more approachable. Most importantly, I want to ensure the people have a voice and are encouraged to share their ideas, respectively.

Also, I would love to advocate for the young families in town. These include supporting activities like trunk or treats, community gatherings, school supply drives, and local business spotlights.

Chandler has changed over the years. I love this place and want to see it grow and flourish with respect to the old ways. Ultimately, I’d like to help return Chandler to being a town that cares about its residents.

Top 3 Priorities if elected.

1) I would like our town council to be completely open and approachable. The town council is elected by the residents of this community, and they should feel that they are able to speak openly and freely without just getting shut down before they are finished speaking.

2) I believe that in order to make our parks great that we truly need a parks board and supporting organizations back in the picture.

3) I would love to see something go in the old town hall building. That would be community/family friendly. (This would only be an option if the building was safe or could be made safe.)
