The City of Cerritos is offering a free paper shredding and compost event from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday, September 19 in the parking lot of the Cerritos Senior Center at Pat Nixon Park. Community members may bring up to two banker-sized boxes of paper documents to be shredded at no charge. Documents will be shredded on-site at the program. This is a secure way to dispose of paperwork that contains private information.

The Cerritos Tribute to Public Safety plaza, located in front of the Cerritos Sheriff’s Station, includes a memorial in honor of those who died in the attacks in New York City; Arlington, Virginia; and Shanksville, Pennsylvania.
