Yesterday, we placed 2️⃣ more Project Lifesaver transmitters, officially bringing us to 12 🤯 participants in Ohio County! 📡

To put that into perspective, the FIRST transmitter was placed July 14th. In just FIFTY, yes, 5️⃣0️⃣ days, we have placed 12 FULLY FUNDED transmitters to individuals in Ohio County!

And something we’re especially excited about is seeing just how far across the county this program is already reaching:

📍 Rockport: 1
📍 Centertown: 1
📍 McHenry: 1
📍 Fordsville: 1

In a county as big as ours, this is HUGE.

When we brought Project Lifesaver to Ohio County, we wanted it to be a resource for families throughout our ENTIRE county, not just those in the bigger communities. Seeing transmitters now being worn in SIX 😮 different communities shows us that we’re doing exactly that. 💙

And we still have room to grow!

We have 5️⃣ transmitters ready to be placed with no waitlist!

If you have a loved one who is at risk of wandering or elopement due to autism, Alzheimer’s/dementia, or another cognitive condition, we currently have transmitters available and there is 🚫 no cost 🚫 to participate.

Ohio County’s new school year starts tomorrow! To prioritize the safety of all involved in our school systems, we ask that you keep a few things in mind tomorrow...

1) Be sure to watch school zones and obey the speed limits, there will be increased patrol in school zones and at the schools.
2) Remember there will be an increase in traffic in the county, make sure to pay attention, use caution, and watch out for hazards.
3) Also, keep an eye out for school buses and kids during the commute and remember to always stop for school buses when lights are flashing, this will be strictly enforced.

We look forward to having a safe and successful school year!

*We ask that you pay special attention to the roadway in front of the high school as it will be very congested in this area.*

Reminder, First Day of School Starts Aug. 11! New state law is now in effect! Let’s all help keep the precious cargo on the school buses safe this school year! Hoping all kiddos have great first day of school!
