Let us cook for you!!! Next week Friday, Sept. 18 we will be serving supper at the Civic Center. This is also the same night as the National Honors Society induction ceremony at school so please stop over and enjoy some delicious homemade soup and sandwiches!

Just a few more pictures of our time in DC. Wednesday evening we strolled around the monuments. We visited Mt. Vernon and Arlington on Thursday with some of the other ND chapters. It rained that evening so it was a great night to take in the Fashion Show! Friday was awards, a museum, and a quick trip to Union Station. Saturday was an EARLY, but uneventful flight home. It was an awesome trip and first competition at Nationals but we are very thankful to be back in ND!

Well, the girls didn't make the top three BUT they still placed GOLD at Nationals (and top 10 is pretty great, too). And they still got to walk across the BIG stage. So very proud of them and all the work they put into their project, how AWESOME they have been on this trip with the heat/humidity, flight issues, LOTS of walking, and not a lot of sleep. Their presentation/project is not something they plan to drop now that the competition is done. I am very blessed to get to work with them, and their amazing support team- Ali and Lacey- throughout the year! Looking forward to what they can accomplish in the future! Congratulations Lennon and Natalie!!!

Today was "game day" in more ways than one! We attended the Expo, many sessions, PD's, and Red talks. One last practice and the girls gave their presentation. They came out of the evaluation room with smiles and giggles. It went very well so now we wait for results! Tonight was FCCLA night at the Wasgington Nationals game. ND had the absolute highest seats in the stadium. Nose bleed section it is! Stay tuned for results and awards on Friday!

Its been a busy couple of days here in DC! On Sunday, we enjoyed a FABULOUS breakfast at the ND Farmers Union owned Founding Farmers restaurant. Very Highly recommend you try it if you're ever in the area! Then we headed to a tour at 'The People's House' which is an interactive White House simulation. Next on our agenda was the Holocaust museum, and an attempt to go to the Great American Fair that ended up just being a very HOT walk around the Washington Monument but we got to see the White House. The heat has been extreme so we called it a day.

Monday we started with a tour of Senator Cramer's office and the Capitol. We enjoyed a birthday lunch at The Cheesecake Factory before suiting up for NLC's State meeting and opening ceremonies.
